What are you ordering that you need within the hour? 99% of the stuff I buy on Amazon I don't need immediately.

^^^ you can basically use it to grocery shop. Place a small order before you leave work and have the guy with your groceries meet you at your house. Or if you just want to be lazy as hell and not leave the house

I ran out of dog food today, and instead of stopping at the store just for dog food I'm gonna use this to get it dropped at the house, plus $10 off the first order

Agreed 100%

Is there any way we can pay to make deliveries take longer?

No but you can get paid (in Amazon credit) for not taking advantage of prime 2 day shipping and instead using standard delivery.

which can only be used for "eBooks, digital music, videos, apps, video games, and software" and expires in 3 months. I guess I could use it for android apps or something...

Glad that we have it, but they need to do the whole 1-hour food delivery service that most of the bigger cities with Amazon Now offer.

I need to be able to order to-go from places that don't deliver and get it brought to me from anywhere in Raleigh within the hour. THAT is a service I would use regularly, haha.

I've used the food service too, I liked it. One thing I did notice was that 1 hour delivery was rarely available.

That is in B-mo though, I don't know how its going to be here. Overall, you can't complain haha, just a new feat of laziness. However when it comes to food there are lots of crazy good choices, for example I had some banging Afghan food I would have never thought to try and it was off the chain.

And just to be clear I'm talking about the 1-hour delivery for products from Amazon, not the food. Food is always there in 45 mins - 1 hour.

I placed an order before lunch for a Hulkbuster Disney Infinity figure and a miniature LEGO Star Wars AT-AT set. I got the order shortly after I got back from lunch.

There's a $20 minimum and a tip line at checkout.

I mean they should expect a flood of people at first as this gets passed around the internet. It will stabilize out as time goes by Id imagine.

Yeah, once it settles down a 2-3 hour lead time is still great.

Here's hoping some decent restaurants sign up with them soon.

Just so y'all know if there is anything in your order perishable they will not leave it at the door from my experience. They will even cancel your order if you are not there.

Guy on reddit that says he's a driver said there are roughly 25 atm, if it's popular I can't see that being close to enough for the area. Especially since they work like an uber driver and aren't full time
