2006 9 seed lose to George Washington (this is my question...how the HELL were they a 9 seed? The CAA got 2 teams in with Mason going to the final four, but I do NOT remember UNCW being good that year, thought STATE was better) 9 seed/10 seed.
I'd say as someone from there its impressive a little school has made it 6 times in the last 18 years (especially with the 10 year dumpster fire in between)

^^^They totally blew that George Washington game in 06. Had an 18-point lead and it slipped away. If they had won that one, it would have set up an interesting game with JJ Reddick/Shelden Williams-led Duke in Greensboro.

Doubt they would have won, but Duke that year was Reddick/Williams and a bunch of average guys that dominanted a down ACC. Boston College was good, UNC had an exodus leave early and Chris Paul left Wake.
