yep, including USA today, and reporters that went to the bathroom in question. Or hell, anyone that's not blind to how much of a shithole most of Rio is.

Sure, Rio is a shithole. That doesn't mean Lochte wasn't drunk, pissed where he shouldn't, tore a poster down, and then lied about it by his own confirmation. His own fucking teammates that were there said exactly the same about him. Like I said. Willful ignorance on your part.

Quote :
"Deluz describes them as “very altered. I can't tell you if it was drinking or drugs.” He describes Lochte as “the very blond one. He was the one who was most altered.""

Quote :
"The statement from Bentz and the narrative offered by Brazilian authorities agree that the swimmers entered a narrow walkway and urinated behind the gas station. The accounts also agree that, at some point, Lochte pulled what Bentz described as a “loosely attached” advertising sign from a wall. Deluz described it as a framed canvas that was torn as Lochte pulled it to the ground."

Robbery?

Quote :
""If they only asked for the amount of the damage, it may not be a robbery," Damasceno said in a message to USA TODAY Sports. "But if the amount taken is higher than the value of the damages, with the use of a weapon by the 'security,' this is robbery."

Damasceno added that even if someone has the right to receive compensation, that does not mean they can determine the amount on their own and take actions such as drawing guns to collect. Brazilian law rarely allows for a person to obtain such a payment through the use of their own force – such disputes should be mediated by the state, he said.

Deluz said a station employee had established the cost of the damage at 100 reais, but the swimmers paid about 160 reais, – 100 reais plus a $20 bill.

Jeffrey Ostrow, Lochte’s attorney, steadfastly maintains the men were robbed.

“That part of the story will never change,'' Ostrow told USA TODAY Sports in a telephone interview. "We stand behind that."

Lochte initially claimed that he was robbed of $400 and has yet to say if that was another embellishment.

Deluz thinks the men understood they were detained because of the damaged sign, as the broken advertisement was shown to them. An athlete even asked him how much he needed to pay, Deluz says. The disc jockey said he conferred with an employee and responded, "One hundred money." When one swimmer finally opened his wallet, it had plenty of cash in it beyond that amount. Had the armed men been robbers, Deluz reasoned, they would have taken all the money."

their passports were being held as ransom, yet you believe that what the cops forced them to say in exchange for their passports must be the truth? That goes well past willful ignorance on your part.

I don't know where you were going with the rest of your quotes, because they spell out in clear terms that this was a robbery, no matter how you look at it. It also clearly shows that the statements from the police about kicked in doors and other vandalism being utter bullshit.

Dude. They both said that AFTER they got back here. You're trying way too hard here to build your FALSE NARRATIVE. Hell did they even have to give accounts to the Rio police? Seems like you're just making up this shit up as you go.

Except they clearly show the opposite. Paying for damages != robbery. Do you even read bro?

I've watched the video, and there is no vandalism shown. apparently you never watched the video but instead just read the Buzzfeed headline.

Quote :

from what you quoted. Taking money by force and taking more than the amount of damages is robbery.

you're still avoiding addressing the lies by the police, and how they managed to extort $11,000 out of the athletes in exchange for his passport back.

Obviously not - http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/olympics/rio-2016/2016/08/23/ryan-lochte-us-swimmers-rio-de-janeiro-gas-station-security-guards-incident/89228124/

The video confirms what Lochte's teammates said, that he tore down a framed canvas poster after they urinated behind the station.

Quote :
"you're still avoiding addressing the lies by the police"

I'm addressing Lochte's behavior, which after all these posts you can't even bring yourself to admit that he fucked up, which is the strangest fucking thing...despite the above video showing showing otherwise, despite his teammates saying he fucked up, despite he himself admitting that he fucking lied about the events to the UCOC and others after that. Why can't you admit the simple reality that this guy was drunk and fucked up?

Simone Biles is still dominating.

She won her sixth US All-Around Gymnastics Title and became the first woman to stick a triple double.
