^I don't have a VCR, or tapes. My parents still have one though. They still play the Disney movies they have on VHS for my niece and nephew when they babysit.

Wasn't there a thread about how hipsters were getting into VHS? Might've been about a store on Hillsborough selling VHS to hipsters or something.

We'll probably have to explain to kids why we call it "rewind" instead or "reverse" or something.

^We're about 1 generation away from people not knowing how to use a VCR, or CD player.

You say that as if old people haven't always had trouble knowing how to use a VCR or CD player

^Good point, but I was talking about people who are younger than those who grew up with VCRs and CDs.

So some kid with a BluRay player is going to be completely baffled when someone asks him how to play a CD?

Possibly. The other week I went to rip a CD on my PC, so I could load it to my phone. I had trouble finding the button to push that opens the slot you put the disc in because i hadn't used it in years.

One day in Boone, this dude knocked on the door and offered to trade us his VCR for a a 12-pack of Budweiser and a pack of cigarettes

I feel like this might have happened twice, actually
