quick takes:

-Lester Holt is getting completely ran over and is doing a terrible job keeping the candidates on message. Was going to be difficult whoever was in the moderator chair, but Holt's lacking so far.
-Hillary's strategy is soundbites to start memes ("Trumped up, trickle down" ?) and paint Trump as a crackpot. As far as policy she's saying a whole lot of nothing. I'm reminded of Politico podcast from last Friday where they say "Hillary has done nothing the past 2 months other than let Trump control the message and he's come back in the polls."
-Trump is all over the place and is not focused. He is doing a decent job though making the point of "Hillary has been around forever."

Sure, almost everything Clinton said was hot air bs. But it at least sounded like she knew what she was talking about. Trump hardly strung a coherent thought together the entire night. Every answer was long and rambling, with all kinds of tangents and loose ends.

Some of my favorites were when he talked about some club he opened in the "Very Wealthy" Palm Springs that allowed african americans and muslims in, and all the critics really like it.

Another was how he cited a "Very Important" magazine as a another source of compliments to him, but never said the magazine.

How many times did he say "I" and did he talk about how much people liked him and praised him?

Our cyber is the best, but no one in government is going to come out and brag about all the stuff we hacked. It's widely believed the US had a hand in creating Stuxnet (with the Israelis) for example, which destroyed a ton of iranian industrial equipment with no human casualties.

But just because the CIA isn't openly dumping hacked secrets in the public doesn't mean we're doing nothing.

Stuxnet got exposed due to faulty coding and didn't do the damage it was intended to. Instead, it made the world aware that the US was willing to engage in cyber warfare and potentially more likely to be attacked in the future.
