She's had this in the bag for years. The only reason she isn't our current president is because she ran against a black man last time which got a lot of minority people out to vote who had never voted before. I heard over half of our nation considers themselves liberal, so it's pretty hard for any republican to win in today's political environment where almost everyone has picked a side to cheer for no matter what. I think Clinton could beat anyone who is running on the Republican ticket.

Mexicans and Muslims aren't fully out of line with many Republican ideals. In fact, many are quite conservative. However, when your platform rests on verbally attacking them, banning them, assuming they're all criminals / terrorists, etc., Republicans aren't going to get their votes. Don't blame the existence of these immigrants for the problems in your party.

Maybe so, but they lean left. The democrats do a great job catering to the minorities, so yeah it is going to help the left as more minorities enter the country. As for this election, it is very sad that someone as corrupt and unlikable as Hillary Clinton will be our president. It is equally sad that someone as unlikable and arrogant as Trump was the 2nd option. Trump only won the GOP nomination due to plurality of the primary process.

The GOP needs real leadership in order to prevent 17 damn people running for office. Probably 5-6 of those other candidates would have been able to defeat Hillary, but since Trump appealed to the lowest common denominator in the GOP base, he got 15-20% support in the early primary and used that momentum to win the nomination. Had some guys like Jeb, Christie, and Kasich not been involved or bailed out sooner, a decent candidate like Rubio could have taken control. Just fucking sucks that we are stuck with such a shitty choice for president.

Minorities have the same mix of liberal/conservative thinking people as white people (shocker, I know...), maybe even more conservative even.

The reason Republicans don't get their vote is that they actively cater to white identity politics to the detriment of conservative ideology, it's that simple. It would be so easy for the GOP to become relevant if they ditched the white supremacist ideas that have defined the party since the civil rights era.

Not true. Hard core republicans just want the government to shut down the borders and stop illegal immigration along with less government programs like Obamcare. I lean republican on these issues, but at the same time I'm totally cool with sending the military to places like Haiti to help them recover from natural disasters. I hope that the next president will do the same if there is a natural disaster, or a similar situation. I'm not cool with bringing in mass amounts of people though and giving them government handouts. They need to stay in their own countries. No more anchor babies please!
