I just tested at 96 WPM, 542 CPM, 480 CPM corrected here: http://typing-speed-test.aoeu.eu/

That's very fast, but I was faster and more accurate in high school when I basically lived on IRC. And that was on a shitty membrane keyboard, not the overpriced mechanical monstrosity I'm typing on now.

I started trying to learn Dvorak last year but had to give it up for reasons that would be boring to go into. I wonder if it's possible to set one keyboard to one layout and another keyboard to a different layout in Windows 10.

Don't hate on folks for how they type. Typing speed is mostly a function of practice and experience. If you see someone typing poorly, congratulate them for learning and getting better.

I use speech to text a lot on my phone. I would do so on my computer if I knew how to.

From the typing speed test, I got 80WPM, 398CPM, 398 corrected CPM. I used to type faster in college, but I was also typing on a desktop keyboard and not on a laptop.

I have partial feeling in my left pinkie from a old injury. It throws me off so I hunt and peck quickly.

Honestly the biggest thing that fucked me here is spelling, and the laptop keyboard. I'm so used to autocorrect that i can't spell worth shit.

I used to do a solid 110-120 depending on content. especially back in the day when I was playing the Legends of Kesmai.
