It really can. The first one was very good, yet at the same time is also quite overrated by a lot of people IMO.

this trailer is almost all green screen. I kind of recall the first one having more actual set pieces.

This film was such a cluster fuck of non cohesive store lines.

I enjoyed it but definitely liked the first one better. They weighed this one down a lot with a bit too much character development. Not unlike Age of Ultron in that respect.

they also went overboard on the music and jokes. And they completely wasted Kurt Russell.

I thought the first third or so of this was pretty fantastic, and much better than number one, unfortunately sometime soon after they got to Egos planet there was definitely a drop off. Overall it was still a good, enjoyable movie that I would recommend, but just wasn't fantastic. My biggest complaint about the first one was the action direction, which was definitely sub par, and in stark contrast to the excellent action in most all the other marvel films. Unfortunately this one did not improve in that area at all, actually it may have regressed, with just a bunch of incoherent flying around and shaky cam. Still this was pretty damn funny, and a overall a fun film.

Started ok, finished weak.

About half the humor landed wrong. A quarter of it was forced and felt out of place.

A couple really good moments. If they would have expanded on those themes and not felt like they had to pause to tell a poorly delivered joke half the time it would have done a world of good.

There is humor that is written down, there is humor that is delivered correctly, then there is humor that is actually funny.

As a person who can be objectively funny, there was way too much humor crammed in at the expense of everything. Like focusing on Peter and what happens to him, etc. They spent way to much time on the death of a certain character without the proper execution of his character. They spent enough time on the character, but the script wasn't efficient and effective enough. Time spent with this character has some awkward and cheesy moments that just break engagement with the buildup.

I liked the story, the visuals, the soundtrack, and loved Kurt Russell.

I didn't like that every character became so one-dimensional. I appreciated learning more about each character, but it became a little too much like Suicide Squad with every single character having to come to some unnecessary catharsis.

When did Drax become a laugh track? He was so good in the first one because of the deadpan and sense of vengeance. Now he's Mr. Happy-go-Lucky?

Mantis is the worst character in any MCU movie thus far. She was annoying and provided nothing to the story.

This movie was fucking hilarious. It knew how ridiculous the entire premise of its story was and embraced it.

Really enjoyed this one, however I felt that Stallone's role was way under-utilized. I guess he'll be back in a different Marvel movie. Too big of a name for less than 5 minutes of screen time.

^I don't think his name is that big anymore. He was demoted to back-up characters a while ago. This decade the only memorable things he's done is The Expendables series and Creed. I had to look on wikipedia to find out what else.

Love how her in depth analysis doesn't mention the gold people, or really much about Ego and his evil plan, but does keep going back to sly and his 3 minutes of screen time.

Thought this movie was really good. I mean the first one was probably better and had a greater sense of fun, but this one was still ridiculously fun but added some good character development.

Watching this on Disney+. It really bothers me that in the opening scene of the movie there's a tractor with a mixer wagon sitting in front of an empty trench silo.

I'm not even a minute into it and I hate it.
