Home is not a place. It's a person.

If you don't feel that way, then chances are you're there right now.

you've never had a place that felt like home? or you don't ever expect to find that sole place that feels like the only place you could possibly call home?

I don't necessarily think I will have one place that I say 'this is the only place I ever want to live'. But that doesn't mean everywhere I live feels like home. Probably since I moved away to college, the first time I felt at 'home' was after buying my first house a few years after college and doing a lot of work to it and it felt like it had some permanence. But that wore off as I grew tired of a smaller city and it no longer felt like home. Now I've moved to Dallas and, while it felt very foreign at first, after 10 months this is the most I've felt 'at home' as an adult probably, even just being back to renting. But this time it has to do with loving my job and being surrounded by people with common interests and easy access to my hobbies etc.

But I won't be surprised if I eventually tire of Dallas and look to move on again.
