I mean yeah that'd be nice. Can't really help what happens to teams after we play them though. Seems like a case of moving those goalposts a bit now that fsu has given up on the season and the fightin' Lamar Jacksons aren't as good as last year. Of course wins over great teams would be great, that's obvious. Doesn't really negate that we're 4-0 in the ACC though.

Well the WF game just got easier unfortunately. Their stud WR Dortch will miss the remainder of the season due to an abdominal injury yesterday that required surgery last night. Sucks for him.

Christ some folks in here are reactionary as all get out.

We'll be favored against three two of the four remaining teams and have a great shot at knocking off Clemson.

At this point I'll be happy with 2-2 the rest of the way and ecstatic with anything better. Have to go back to 1992 in O'Cain's second year to find the last time we finished with 6 ACC wins.

We lost to a legit top 10 on the road and our star rb was out for nearly the entire game. We wouldn't have won with Hines, but it would've helped a lot. Fuck outta here with the doom and gloom mother fuckers.

The team gave up so kinda hard to blame the fans for doing the same. That pick 6 could easily derail the season. Plus BC and Wake are better than Louisville/FSU. We usually lose at those teams even when they suck.

It was nice to feel relevant in football on the national stage for a change. In the end that game was meaningless for our realistic season goals however so I hope we don't let that one snowball going forward. We have put ourselves in position to win the division and play for an ACC title which for our program should be the top realistic goal each year. Winning this weekend would make it pretty damn hard to not win the division so we still have a lot of potential this year. Yes finishing 6-6 or 7-5 is still a realistic disaster scenario but lets worry about what we have in front of us for now which is trying to get revenge for last year.

If we played a normal non-confernce schedule, we would be undefeated and #5 in the country. I think we are better than Wisconsin and Miami but no one knows how good those teams are.

Notre Dame lost to Georgia by 1 with a freshman QB who lost two fumbles and has gotten a lot better since then. I think it would be different if they played now.

Do agree that Wisconsin/Miami have had weak schedules so far. Wisconsin and Alabama have yet to play a team with any votes in the most recent AP poll and Miami has only played a team that gathered 19 votes (Toledo).

^nah i wasn't crazy about the eyes on the back of the helmet a couple years back. but alternative helmets and jerseys are for recruits, not for me. so it doesn't matter much what i like. it's just my opinion that the tuffy head logo is much more unique and stands out better than a block s. but it's ok if you disagree, we can have differing opinions and still be fans.

i don't wear oakleys and i think the wolfpack in the house is lame fwiw

This is exactly why I was aggressive about asking people to define their expectations BEFORE the season started. I knew the DD haters would come out after losses and act like we were a failure no matter what and thats exactly why they refused to put down expectations.

^ Based on what? And you're forgetting our best is rarely good enough to beat FSU or Clemson, and to win the division we have to beat them BOTH at a minimum. We lucked out this year that only one of the three tough teams in our division lived up to their potential, and we just barely could've squeaked by them, but we blew it. We will not have the same opportunities next year.
