^^^I'm not some political expert but I'd guess they're acting this way because they know nothing will come of this.

Does anyone know what it'll take for an independent investigation? It has to start with bilateral support from both parties, right?

Oh?

Quote :
"WASHINGTON — Days before he was fired, James B. Comey, the former F.B.I. director, asked the Justice Department for a significant increase in money and personnel for the bureau’s investigation into Russia’s interference in the presidential election, according to three officials with knowledge of his request.

Mr. Comey asked for the resources during a meeting last week with Rod J. Rosenstein, the deputy attorney general who wrote the Justice Department’s memo that was used to justify the firing of the F.B.I. director this week."

The guy who's sticking to the Executive's talking points? Who can't even admit the timing of this is slightly troubling?

Our system of checks and balances COULD be working just fine right now if congressional Republicans would put the country before their party. The crux of this entire problem is congress refuses to actually investigate or to appoint someone that would. Basically every congressional republican not calling for an independent investigator (most of them) is complicit in the coverup. If this continues, anyone that votes for these asshats in 2018 hates America.

Sen. Grassley, who has been pretty fair from what I can tell, put out a statement insinuating that Trump is not the target of the Russia investigation.

But him actually colluding isn't really mainstream thought, is it? I mean there are certainly some people who think Trump masterminded all this but that would require him to actually have a functioning brain, which is a stretch.

the complete lack of anything emerging through leaks other than the pissgate fanfiction practically proves that the entirety of Russiagate is smoke and mirrors.

Flynn is being subpoenaed by Congress for dealings with Turkey, not Russia. Writing an editorial on the importance of Turkey as a NATO member to our dealings with ISIS and the ridiculousness of the Obama administration potentially meddling in the Turkish coup last year doesn't really sound all that treasonous.

http://thehill.com/blogs/pundits-blog/foreign-policy/305021-our-ally-turkey-is-in-crisis-and-needs-our-support

Hopefully Flynn's testimony will be as epic as Martin Shkreli trolling Congress.

What amazes me is we are almost half a year into Trump's presidency, yet the leftists and fake news media show no signs of slowing down their hysterical fabricated outrage.

I guess this is what happens when you no longer need evidence for narratives. If the echo chamber is strong enough, you can spin whatever narrative you want without any burden of proof.
