The Page testimony, from what I’ve seen on Twitter is basically more confirmation a lot of the Steele Dossier is 100% accurate.

Yep. He basically spends the 200 pages of transcript contradicting himself, confirming the dates/times/people in the dossier report on him and then spends of the time saying the dossier is completely fake.

This guy is a grade A moron. I am shocked, honestly. You guys really should read it. There are some amazing exchanges, Bill Clinton-esque (define "is").

Quote :
"
Mr. Schiff: I may be misremembering it. Was this the speech, though, that was portrayed as condemning the United States policy for being hypocritical?

Mr. Page: Mischaracterized. They picked out one -

Mr. Schiff: Did you use the word "hypocritical" in your speech?

Mr. Page: Can you please repeat your question?

Mr. Schiff: Did you use the word "hypocritical" in your speech?

Mr. Page: Can you say the full sentence?

Mr. Schiff: Did you use the word "hypocritical" in your speech?

Mr. Page: Not with respect to Russia."

So what are the implications of this story?

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/11/07/fusion-gps-official-met-with-russian-operative-before-and-after-trump-jr-sit-down.html

Quote :
"... hours before the Trump Tower meeting on June 9, 2016, Fusion co-founder and ex-Wall Street Journal reporter Glenn Simpson was with Veselnitskaya in a Manhattan federal courtroom, a confidential source told Fox News. Court records reviewed by Fox News, email correspondence and published reports corroborate the pair's presence together. The source told Fox News they also were together after the Trump Tower meeting."

Is it anything more than Veselnitskaya representing another Fusion client?

She used her "cover" (attending the hearings) as a method of getting into the U.S. and meeting with Trump Jr. and Manafort, etc.

This is Fox News trying to deflect (poorly, I might add). Gotta love the patriotic, conservative press.

So, after all these folks spilling the beans lately, what parts of the Dossier have yet to be verified?

-pee tape
-actual Rosneft shares changing hands (we know a sell occurred, that's it)
-........?

https://themoscowproject.org/dossier.html

The annotations here should help with this but off the top of my head:

1) The sexual escapades in Moscow have not been verified by any media

2) The Rosneft sale did occur and shares did change hands (verified) but there is no verification that the owner is anyone in Trump's orbit (specifically Carter Page, though it would explain how he's been "living off of savings" according to his testimony)

3) Source Identities for A, B, C, F and G. D and E are both Sergei Millian. I personally believe A is Petr Polshikov and B is Oleg Erovinkin (http://www.cnn.com/2017/03/24/europe/dead-russians/index.html). Sergei Mikhailov is a possibility for A, B and maybe C.

Source A - Senior Russian Foreign Ministry figure
Source B - Former top level Russian Intelligence officer
Source C - Senior Russian financial officer
Source D - Close associate of Trump (Millian confirmed)
Source E - Ethnic Russian close associate of Trump (Millian confirmed)
Source F - Female staffer at Moscow Ritz Carlton
Source G - Senior Kremlin official

4) Cohen's visits to Europe (Prague or otherwise) are not confirmed, though I place the likelihood on veracity as high because his only defense was 1) my passport wasn't stamped and 2) I showed my passport to the press. Manafort had three passports, Page had two, a couple others have multiples as well. Cohen simply could have just shown the press one. Also, you can travel to Prague without having your passport stamped. There is a border reciprocity agreement in the EU and also I think a subset of nations within it.

5) At the moment, most of what has been confirmed is times/dates/locations/individuals involved in person-to-person meetings. None of the actual content has been truly confirmed but the fact that they've spent all year saying the dossier is nothing but lies and then reading all of the confirmations that meetings occurred and matched times/dates and people, it's safe to say that the content of those meetings, as reported in the dossier, are factual as well.

Probably some other stuff I'm missing but this is all off the top of my head.

So we've gone from "nothing ever happened, no women, no Russia" to "well they offered me five women but I said no."

Burden of proof is not on Trump to refute this aspect but going from none to five which yet again aligns with Steele's work is just another reversal that causes further suspicion of lying to me.

^thats what I'm saying. The trend here is more important than any single allegation. The trend thus far has seemed to be : allegations made, trump or trump surrogate outright denies it, a leak or testimony indicates they lied, they modify their story, later their story is totally proven false, the allegation is true, and now they have to update their disclosure forms and be interviewed by the FBI.

http://taskandpurpose.com/us-marine-proved-russia-hacked-dncs-emails-now-hes-talking/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=tp-today&utm_content=button

This is a good article.

Quote :
"How was Johnston sure that the Russians were behind the DNC hack? Because he’d seen their malicious code before: In 2015, while working at Ft. Meade, the Marine was assigned to investigate a phishing virus that had rapidly infected the computers of the Joint Chiefs of Staff:

Soon, Johnston and the others identified the malware. It was associated with APT 29, for “advanced persistent threat,” a hacker group widely believed to be linked to the FSB, Russia’s federal security service.

Johnston said the phishing campaign against the Joint Chiefs stood out. Usually, he said of Russian hackers, “their operations are very surgical. They might send five phishing emails, but they’re very well-crafted and very, very targeted.” But this time it was a broadside. “The target list was, like, 50 to 60,000 people around the world. They hit them all at once.” It’s rare, he said, for “an intel service to be so noisy.”"

Quote :
"In fact, the most dramatic and disturbing part of Buzzfeed’s profile of Johnston isn’t DNC-related at all: It’s about his work on that Marine Corps Red Team, where he learned that some of America’s toughest, bravest warriors are also the easiest to hack with dumb “fake news” emails:

He was surprised how many well-trained military personnel fell for fake attacks. Right after the Snowden leaks in 2013, he said, the team sent out to 5,000 people inside the military a test: a phishing email, one that tries to trick recipients into clicking on a link, which installs malware. The subject line was: “SEAL team six conducts an operation that kills Edward Snowden.”

“We actually had to shut down the operation,” he said. “The phishing attack was too successful. The click rate was through the roof.”"

Quote :
"WASHINGTON — Investigators for Special Counsel Robert Mueller are questioning witnesses about an alleged September 2016 meeting between Mike Flynn, who later briefly served as President Donald Trump’s national security adviser, and Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, a staunch advocate of policies that would help Russia, two sources with knowledge of the investigation told NBC News.

The meeting allegedly took place in Washington the evening of Sept. 20, while Flynn was working as an adviser to Trump’s presidential campaign. It was arranged by his lobbying firm, the Flynn Intel Group. Also in attendance were Flynn’s business partners, Bijan Kian and Brian McCauley, and Flynn’s son, Michael G. Flynn, who worked closely with his father, the sources said."

Oh look, Hope Hicks lied too.

Quote :
"At issue is a statement provided to the media just days after the election, when Hicks flatly denied any campaign member conducted meetings with Russian representatives.

"It never happened," she said at the time, even as Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov was admitting "there were contacts" made with the Trump team. "There was no communication between the campaign and any foreign entity during the campaign."

It is increasingly clear that Hicks's statement is untrue."

Quote :
"Last week, during his over six-hour testimony before the House Intelligence Committee, former campaign adviser Carter Page revealed under oath that he told Hicks of his travels to Moscow during the campaign."

Also seem clear he was reading intently, even if he wasn't responding

It almost would have been better for him to actively engage, then he could at least pretend he didn't know it is potentially illegal to essentially work with a foreign spy to win an election.

what makes you think that Assange is a spy and not a journalist? If you think it's illegal to work with a foreign spy to win an election, then how do you justify Hillary hiring British spy Christopher Steele?

^Yes I agree with you, more anti-Hillary than pro Trump. Either way, this probably doesn't help wikileaks claims of being a transparent and impartial source. That being said, how's this different than a campaign communicating with any media source? I'm sure campaigns get leaked info all the time from media sources.

Lol Steele wasn’t acting on behalf of a government seeking a quid pro quo.

Assange was acting as a mediator, likely knowingly, between Russian intelligence and the trump campaign.

Since February, every week we hear some new, deeper way Trump was working directly with Russia, and there’s no reason not to expect more to come out.

On top of it all, we know Sessions, Pence, trump, Trump Jr, Manafort, Papadopoulos, Kushner and many others have gone on TV to blatantly lie about this.

It was obvious trump was a scumb bag all along, but I know peoples egos won’t let them believe they voted for a blatant criminal, just because they liked his siren song of xenophobia and isolationism (isolationism that trump has pretty much completely reversed himself on).

there is no evidence whatsoever to support the claim of As Santa being a mediator to Russia, and none of the discussion between wikileaks and Don Jr involve releasing the emails - only hyping them after the fact. wikileaks was also asking for the tax returns of Trump to leak, likely as verification of info they already had.

lol, no they weren't. They were asking because it would help them appear unbiased.

Quote :
"It is the third reason, though, WikiLeaks wrote, that “is the real kicker.” “If we publish them it will dramatically improve the perception of our impartiality,” WikiLeaks explained. “That means that the vast amount of stuff that we are publishing on Clinton will have much higher impact, because it won’t be perceived as coming from a ‘pro-Trump’ ‘pro-Russia’ source.” It then provided an email address and link where the Trump campaign could send the tax returns, and adds, “The same for any other negative stuff (documents, recordings) that you think has a decent chance of coming out. Let us put it out.”"

They literally just wanted the stuff that Trump Jr thought was already coming out in effort to make the Clinton stuff hurt more.

That's not 'for verification', that's colluding for mutual benefit.

^^Assange was serving two purposes:

1) He wants to stop living in the goddamned embassy in England and needs the United States to leave him alone. A quid pro quo attempt (exchange information for his freedom essentially) may have been made

2) He focused exclusively on the leaks submitted by Russian intelligence and made absolutely zero attempt to release anything else. He was operating on Russia's behalf. Presuming that is actually true (that is, that he did so with knowledge and support from Russia), he was likely trying to secure asylum or something to that effect in Russia, similar to Snowden.

Ultimately the point is this - Assange and Wikileaks were not operating in the interest of the United States. They were partially operating in the interest of truth (in that what they did release was in fact true) but only a partial truth and a truth that only served to hurt the United States. And the Trump campaign was perfectly fine taking advantage of this. Effectively, Trump and his campaign were seeking power at all costs, even if it ultimately hurt the United States. That's treason in my book, though bear in mind treason has a very specific definition in a legal sense. But the sentiment and actions are abject treason.

Looks like he communicated with Source D and Source E in that fake Dossier

Also: https://www.politico.com/story/2017/11/16/jared-kushner-wikileaks-emails-245197

Looks like he's basically kept every single incriminating email of his away from the committees. But they found out about them because other witnesses have given them to them.

Quote :
"“If, as you suggest, Mr. Kushner was unaware of, for example, any attempts at Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, then presumably there would be few communications concerning many of the persons identified,” the lawmakers wrote.

Grassley and Feinstein also alluded to documents they received from other witnesses on which Kushner was copied.

“Other parties have produced September 2016 email communications to Mr. Kushner concerning WikiLeaks, which Mr. Kushner then forwarded to another campaign official,” they wrote. “Such documents should have been produced...but were not.”

“Likewise, other parties have produced documents concerning a ‘Russian backdoor overture and dinner invite’ which Mr. Kushner also forwarded. And still others have produced communications with Sergei Millian, copied to Mr. Kushner. Again, these do not appear in Mr. Kushner’s production despite being responsive to the second request. You also have not produced any phone records that we presume exist and would relate to Mr. Kushner’s communications regarding several requests.”"

Quote :
"According to the lawmakers, Kushner’s attorney suggested providing some documents might “implicate the president’s Executive Privilege.” In their letter, they asked Lowell to resolve those issues and produce the documents or create a “privilege log” to detail which documents the president is asserting executive privilege to protect.

Grassley and Feinstein also said Kushner declined to produce documents connected to his security clearance application, citing their confidentiality. The lawmakers said they intend to take Lowell up on a separate request to visit his office to review the documents in person, but they said the committee would not waive its request to obtain its own copies.

The committee is also seeking another broad tranche of documents about Kushner’s contacts with former national security adviser Michael Flynn. Grassley and Feinstein said they’d like all communications between Kushner and Flynn since election day 2016, as well as any communications that reference email hacking, Russia, the Magnitsky Act and other people or entities that have been implicated in the Russian interference scheme.

The lawmakers said they have yet to receive access to Kushner’s lengthy interview with the Senate intelligence committee and are seeking a copy of it from Lowell to determine “whether the transcript satisfies the needs of our investigation.”"

Invoking executive privilege means he sent that stuff to Trump for sure.
