you can just as easily go throw a football around in a park as you can play whatever game you want on your couch or computer. Which is why watching ELeague or LCS is just like watching the NFL or NBA.

^^ Gamergate was mostly a bunch of misogynists trying to pretend like they cared about "ethics in video game journalism." For a while they strung along other people who actually cared about that but it became increasingly clear that most people behind the movement were just there to spread hate and bile.

To answer your question if you were a gamergate supporter, and ended tweets with #gamergate, you were misogynist.

I'm gonna disagree with you on that one. Professional athletes have a natural talent and the body type needed to excel at their specific sport. I could have trained all day every day from the day I was born but I would never have been as fast a swimmer as Michael Phelps, or as skilled a basketball player as Michael Jordan.

Conversely, I could go start playing League of Legends tomorrow (even at the ripe age of 33) with no prior experience outside of general gaming and after years of dedicated practice and personal sacrifice, I'd eventually get there. I'm not by any means saying that these professional gamers are not skilled, but there is a difference.

Fair enough, but I disagree as well, you'd never get there unless you had natural talent and hand eye coordination required. Professional video game players have statistically significant increased reaction time and Other neurocognative advantages. Saying they don't is disengenuous.

There's plenty of people who spend 12 hours a day playing games and don't become professionals. There's a reason these folks are competing for millions of dollars and others aren't
