I used to work at the Quad c-store before it got demolished. It was one of the best jobs I ever had. Worked a few shifts at others, but man, it wasn't the same.

When I was a student Snapple had come out with those "elements" in the taller bottles. Rain, fire, lightning, etc. Loved the "rain" (prickly pear something or another) and got that all the time at the c-store. Fire was dragonberry and lightning was ginseng black tea. All quite good.

Usually purchased at the Bragaw C-store (for the one year I lived on campus) or at the one at the Atrium.

Yeah, not much of a story, but memories.

We'd do a suite C-store run my first two years of college. We lived in Sullivan, so it was always Bragaw.

Typically, I'd grab a Zebra Cake and the afore mentioned Rain and then really ball out at the end of the year when some people had left over cash but ...

this one time my buddies and I had gotten really high, and then went to the C Store where I got a Bomb burrito and a Rain. Not sure if you ever had a BB but it's basically the size of a forearm. Anyway, nuked that and devoured it in my friends room within seconds. I went to my room and my suite mates asked if I wanted to join them for a C Store run, so I said yes. I grabbed another bomb burrito and rain when there. The cashier looked in shock and asked didn't I just get one. I said no, that it must have been someone else. She asked if I was sure and if I had a twin. I said no because the people with me knew I didn't hae a twin. Eventually she stopped asking and I left paranoid as fuck that I was going to get busted in front of my goodie two shoes suite mates.

FroshKiller, I used to work at that quad C-Store too. I think you'd come in for the shift after me (or vice versa). That store was great, barely anyone went in it.

Bragaw was busy as heck to work at. I used to take home too many hotdogs from that roller cooker, my dorm fridge was packed with 'em.

Hardly anyone ever came in, and I basically never had to restock or pack up in any way. Just spend a few hours reading, flirt a lot, cop a snack, balance the register, and lock up. Hardest part of the job was zipping and unzipping the bank bags.

Good times. I got hot pockets every now and then from the one outside the free expression tunnel when I lived in Owen Hall freshman year. Got my milk and cereal there regularly too. When I moved to Bragaw I got blackberry Clearly Canadian all the damn time as well as ice cream and the aforementioned burritos. One time I encountered my old freshman year roommate at the Bragaw C-Store and he said something about "Woman flavored ice cream".

I lived in Syme hall with a C-store for 3 years in 2000-2003. I tried the hot-dogs from time to time. Absolutely loved the slushes. One year they had these good prepared chicken salad wraps from a local company that were good.

My sophomore year, my friend lived above the front of the C-store. He said lets get quiet and you can hear the beep of the barcode scanner.

I lived over the back of the C-store where the loading door was. Since we had no AC, we had the fan over that door. I got sick of workers' cigarette smoke and the lingering coffee smell. We quickly learned to keep that window closed. My dorm room had 3 total windows, so it was all good. I moved away from that room.

In architecture school, we always did a "last call" 11pm c-store run from Kamphoefner hall studios to get our last bit of food.
