I forgot what happened and had to read up on it again. to catch others up:

* Football player murdered two people because somebody spilled a drink on him.
* In order to get away with those murders, he murdered another guy because he worried the guy would rat him out.
* Football player was just declared not guilty of the first two murders, rending the third murder pointless.
* Football player comes to the realization that keeping it real went wrong, so he did the needful.

You forgot the part where he shot his drug dealer friend in the face and left him for dead, but he didn't die.

You forgot the part about the Super Bowl Champion Patriots visiting the White House today. I could see him thinking about that and how he could have another ring and then saying, "SCREW IT!" and offing himself.

Really looking forward to the movie or 30 for 30 about this. There were some crazy/interesting characters who testified at his trial, starting with his ex-best friend/attempted murderee Alexander Bradley.

Quote :
"Alexander Bradley testified for more than six hours against the former New England Patriots star in Suffolk Superior Court, saying Hernandez shot him in the face in February 2013 in Florida after Bradley made a reference to a double murder in Boston on July 16, 2012."

maybe since he was not found guilty, they don't expect any successful civil suits so the family keeps the money

Just like OJ, right?

http://www.bet.com/news/sports/2017/04/20/aaron-hernandez-s-death-and-the-wrongful-death-lawsuit.html

Quote :
"an obscure Massachusetts law declares that when a person dies while appealing a criminal conviction that his or her death essentially wipes out all proceedings, unbelievably meaning that Hernandez died an innocent man, despite his 2015 first-degree murder conviction for the 2013 homicide of Lloyd."

well that's a pretty shitty law. but I think that they'd still win a wrongful death suit against him/his estate.

and the families of the two victims whose murder he was just acquitted are also pursuing a civil suit against him.

i really don't think there's going to be a whole lot leftover after all this is done.

Yah but it's gonna take years to get those court cases done now since he's never been "found guilty ". Giving babymoma and daughter plenty of time to figure out something to do to hide his money

on top of that stupid law/rule, this may help deflect some blame off of him in a civil action:

wow didn't know the murders were so closely connected like that, so he must have had a decent shot at appeal for his original conviction? then for some reason offs himself...weird

^He had no shot at an appeal for the original conviction. The only reason he wasnt found guilty in this case was because one of the witnesses claimed to have been with Hernandez in the club at the time of the shooting. This, despite all other evidence pointing to him, was apparently enough reasonable doubt for this jury.
