Great. Cheap furniture that requires at least an hour of assembly.

I've never seen the draw to IKEA.

There are lots of ways to go in this world. Furniture is one of the few places where you get what you pay for, and where it pays to invest up front.

Ikea also has some VERY nice quality furniture. It's not all knock-down particle board shit.

My mom does that shit and it drives me nuts.

"How's Raleigh?"

"I have no idea. I live in Carrboro."

I thought all IKEA was that break apart put together mess. So you're telling me they also sell Whitley Gallery-type furniture?

They have lots of solid wood pieces that you put together yourself.

Well at least we can go there rather easily and they are located next to each other. I can bike from the western edge of Carrboro to Chapel Hill in under ten minutes. Driving to fucking Raleigh can take longer than getting to Burlington for me, but nobody calls CH/Carrboro Burlington.

Still the best record storage solution on the market.

Kallax is okay, but doesn't look as nice as Expedit. Both of them have the problem of being way too deep for records. I agree that they're the best solution on the market as far as price/practicality, but you still have to put stops in the back of them for them to work really well as record shelves.

The big question is will IKEA be able to have those bright obnoxious colors on their building in Cary. Best Buy wasn't allowed to have their blue store front. It will be interesting because you know that the Town probably gave IKEA whatever they wanted to try to get them there.

You taste in furniture must be very refined, Mr. Fancy Pants.

My entertainment center is still like new 10 years later, and I'm perfectly happy with it.
