The guy entertained people, including yourself. Now he's dead, and you couldn't just say something nice about him--you had to qualify it in a way that diminished his legacy.

was my favorite Bond. I know that isn't a popular opinion since most people view his incarnation as too cheesy/not serious enough/whatever, but he's the one I grew up watching and the one I got the most enjoyment out of.

In my opinion, the opening to the Spy Who Loved Me is the most Bond-like sequence of the entire franchise. Its got the girl, gadgets, an epic chase/escape scene, and the trademark music. And the badass line -- "But James... I need you!" ... "So does England."

My mum (saw it in the cinema in England) said that when the Union Jack parachute opened up, people went wild cheering.
