I assume you're talking about stand up?

My guess was that he figured he could make more money with movies, and in the 90's, he did with his stint of hits like Dr. Doolittle. He's been trying to find a new hit ever since.

I think that after he went full-family mode, his agents advised him not to go back to his vulgar stand up routines.

I don't know, is there more money to be made in movie flops than stand up?
