Not technically a band, but the musical act I've seen the most is definitely Killer Mike, and it's always been as an opener, but he puts on a great show, at times better than the main act

Reverend Horton Heat, Mountain Goats and Code Seven.

Close second is Avett Brothers and Hank III. Then there's lots of bands I saw multiple times back in the day like Fugazi, Suicide Machines, Dinosaur Jr., Built to Spill, and lots I'm not remembering.

Summer Sanitarium (2000 and 2003)
Saint Anger (3)
Death Magnetic (6)
Big Four
Orion (2)
Hardwired

I think that's accurate for the Death Magnetic tour...they came through NYC area twice playing multiple shows each time and I came down for the Charlotte show. I might have overshot it by 1 but I'm pretty sure this is the first year since I first saw them in high school that I missed any show where they were in my city...damn kids

Tom petty: 6 times
1-5: GREAT
6: horrible.

DMB: 5
1-4 good, 5 bad.

Allman brothers: 3, all decent shows.

Pearl Jam: twice, both good.

Best concert I've been to was Bruce Springsteen at pnc arena a few years back.

Between the Buried and Me, by a ridiculous margin (into the 30s). But it almost doesnt count with them being local before they blew up.

The Avett Brothers and Rainbow Kitten Surprise four times. DMB probably 3 times? Pearl Jam and Lumineers twice.

[Edited on July 6, 2017 at 2:52 PM. Reason : and Aerosmith a few times (3?) with my parents. ]

Definitely Reel Big Fish. Probably seen them somewhere in the range of 13-15 times, most recently in mid-June. First time was November 2000.

^^Were you at the show this past weekend?

Dave Matthews Band ranks up there for me, and Aerosmith.

But by far, the band I've seen the most has to be Del McCoury

^ saw them a week ago after their hiatus, not the best they’ve been unfortunately

When Evan did that acoustic tour with Rhett Miller I reached out and they gave me the only photo pass for the night. Got to spend the whole show in front of the crowd barrier, one of my all time favorite live music experiences

^^^that's awesome. Yeah I've seen them probably 3 or 4 times where Evan was really fucked up. The worst prob 3 or 4 years ago in Silver Spring with American Aquarium. Was just mumbling through most of the show, then he came out for a few solo songs and started playing one and just completely forgot the words.
