I'd keep Lacy based on his ability, the offense he is in, and the likelihood of Rawls being hurt (he is already questionable for week 1). Charles is too risky in that offense and his past injury history.

^ I hear ya, thanks for the opinion. Will try to sit tight and see how this week plays out. Hopefully Charles doesn't blow up and I kick myself for not picking him up while I could.

PPR, pick one

- Adrian Peterson, versus his former team
- Bilal Powell versus the Bills
- James White versus KC tonight

Peterson is old but he's as fresh as he'll be all year and he wants to stick it to Minnesota
Powell is on a shit team but he'll get lots of touches
White is feast or famine since NE RBs are impossible to predict, but he'll probably get 5-6 passes thrown his way

^ I'll help narrow it down - don't go for White this week.

I'd probably go for Powell in this one if I have to pick.

Somewhat ignored the PPR bit btw - but Powell should generate enough yards rushing to negate the PPR need.

Yeah I don't remember who said it, but somebody slightly credible on ESPN radio said they thought it would be a big James white game as far as passes. So..

Thanks a lot Irma

^man, that's tough...dunno what we get with Hogan. I'd probably roll ARob then hate myself

Who to drop for a K? PPR. Have a big bench, hence the fliers.

Got it down to Dalton (Mariota my starter), Paul Richardson, Smallwood, or Robby Anderson. Leaning towards Richardson atm, as i think the others have higher upside.

two highest scoring teams in our league this week are tied at 101.6 and it's gonna come down to Ted Ginn who is on my opponents bench this week

fantasy is dumb

Because those people didn't play.

Should be a tie and that's it.

_____

Cohen for the Bears
or
K Williams for the Cardinals

which is a better RB pickup week one?

Cohen all day in a PPR. Maybe Williams for one week against Indy's defense.

because the other 8 teams aren't close to 100 points and the top 2 scoring teams tied, in a league with specialized scoring that was implemented to prevent ties

I wonder why your commissioner doesn't use a hundredth place. Seems weird, especially if trying to prevent ties. If anything is dumb about this situation, that gets my vote.

I have the top priority spot on the waiver wire and lost Allen Robinson for the season. Who would you take:

Tarik Cohen
Cooper Kupp
Jordan Matthews

or someone else who is showing upside who is probably available in most leagues?

Having players who aren't actually playing influence the outcome of a game is lame.

Sure, but luck is dumb there not fantasy itself.

Quote :

Then why didn't you include them...?

Quote :
"they are playing, though"

Not for your team.

Fantasy mirrors the NFL, and ties are allowed in the NFL so shouldn't be such a big deal for fantasy.

So you penalize guys who have injured players on their bench as well as players on byes who aren't in the lineup. That is insanely dumb.

because math?

if a player gets .04 for doing something, and said player does it 10 times, what happens?

Quote :

it doesn't, though. especially when it comes to scoring. people also tend to dislike ties, which is why when given the choice to implement a tie-breaker, that choice is made.

and fantasy is dumb. it is meaningless in the grand scheme of things. there are plenty of dumb things that are fun to play.

there's a decent chance I'll lose this week because Cole Beasley used his nameplate to catch a ball. that is very dumb.

I don't think Alex Smith and Sam Bradford's performances are flukes. They have weapons all around them and have coaches willing to open up the playbook.

that piece of information was not nearly critical enough to warrant you overanalyzing it. he came here to vent, not for details on why you disapprove of their scoring system.

I'd think Cohen is the #1 add this week, esp in a PPR league. But if you really need a WR, then Kupp is prob your best bet.

^^ honestly I skip making a claim this week and hold that top waiver spot for another week. None of those names are worth losing your spot. Just wait until waivers are over and then pick someone up. My guess is at least one of those wont be claimed.
