1. Miami, Orange (not likely)
2. Orlando, Citrus (more likely, but requires winning out, preferable since it's a NYD game against the SEC.
3. Orlando, Camping World (2nd string, but would potentially be against Big XII power like Oklahoma State)
4. Nashville, Music City
5. Anything else but Charlotte
6. Staying home
7. Charlotte again to play some who cares team like Kentucky.

Are payouts still shared amongst the entire conference? If so, theres no reason to want a bowl against a top SEC team. Oklahoma State would be fun.

No. This season ain't the end all be all season. We can have a good season and build upon it going forward. We're trying to build something. This ain't acccg or bust. That's just unrealistic when a top 5, defending national champ was/is in our way. This season has always been about breaking through the shitty 7-5/6-6 (3-5) level and making us a contender in the division and a nationally relevant program. Seasons not over, but so far we're in line for roughly accomplishing that goal. Finish strong this year and the next step is building from this. This shouldn't be the peak - it needs to be the taking off spot.

That's all well and good, but we're definitely going to take a step back next season. Our defense could very well be awful next season. Like Big 12 awful.

Our defense ain't great as is. Great pass rush, the rest is meh. We'll have talent next year. Return a couple LBs. Plenty of depth in the shitty secondary. DL obviously loses a lot but there's pretty decent depth there with guys that were well thought of recruits. This is what happens. Players graduate and hopefully you've recruited talent and depth to replace it. I do think the losses are significant but also overstated in terms of what we have coming back. On the other hand. Offense could be prolific next year if people come back

I'm not trying to build next year up as a huge season with high expectations. But I'm just saying the drop off can't (and shouldn't) be back to 6-6. Gotta get trending upward. And I think the talent is there to have a 8 ish win season next year depending, obviously, on who comes back.
