I'm not sure where you are getting the idea that Louisville is a free win. They are 7-4 and are still a good team. If you're going to take out @FSU as an expected loss (even though they are still a tough team to beat), you have to replace them with @Wake. That's how it works. Some teams do better than expected (Wake) and some teams do worse than expected (FSU).

Do you understand that its possible for something that was once true to no longer be true? We WERE in contention (until the last play against Clemson). So were teams like Oklahoma State, Washington State, and Washington. We are no longer in contention. At some point, it will be narrowed down to 4 and no one will be in contention.
