Kiffin would very exciting, but the furthest thing from a "Deb hire" I could imagine.

If Deb is out the door, she should just put Drink in as interim and let John Currie (after he's fired today from Tenn and we hire him) hire Kiffin when he gets here.

But honestly, I think if he can keep Drinkwitz on at OC, Brent Venables would be a good hire.

He's been with Stoops and Dabo, knows the area very well and can recruit. He's young. Reminds me a lot of Lincoln Riley.


Theirs potential for the new coach to step in right from the get go and start recruiting even better for NCSU at the same salary we're paying now.

I don't think Kiffin fits the Yow mold.
She's going to put out a 4 year offer to a new coach most likely.

I don't blame DD for leaving now either...there are some big shoes to fill on each side of the ball next year for this team.

Yes, but for the moment he has Finley and a system in place that moves the ball, he knows personnel. Don't have to keep him here forever.

In true NCSU fashion though he's likely to become head coach after he's the interim at the bowl game.
