I’m about done with seeing Braxton and hunt throw up nasty looking three after nasty looking three. Especially when our big men can basically do whatever the fuck they want down low.

we took the lead for the first time, they could tie it back up with a free throw after the 8 minute break

Our big men are useless without someone who can get them the ball.

^^it wasn’t ever hard to get them the ball when our guards actually tried. Looks like Keatts saw the same thing I did because shortly after my post they stopped taking shots and bam we are up 10. 1-18 from the field for al Freeman, Beverly, and Hunt ain’t gonna cut it. Yuck

On the plus side, Batts has looked good. Not sure why he didn’t play on Saturday.

Beverly just isn't very good at the pick and roll, which had been our bread and butter with Johnson + Freeman/Yurtseven.

I don’t disagree but we seem to be able to feed the bigs after drives and traditional post ups just fine when we aren’t busy cranking up contested threes. I actually think Batts has made a big difference with the speed he brings he ball down the court. Beverly and freeman are much more methodical.

Also Dorn has been a man on the boards down the stretch. Not sure if it will show on the stats but he has been all
Over the place.

I don't care what Al Freemans role was supposed to be, he needs to have the ball less. How many times can he go 1-on-3 in one game?

Agree 100%. Last game was even worse.

And Lennard Freeman is our best player.

At least until Abu gets back in a groove

Abu is our 3rd best big man. That's not a bad thing.

I like Batts, I think once he understand the college game player he can be very effective. Kind of reminds me of Cat Barber his freshman year. Without Markell this team is so screwed in ACC play that it won't be pretty, hopefully he comes back for the Clemson game.

Just got back from the game

The Big Dirty Yurty was in rare form lodging a double double with only 16 minutes on the floor
