Had one last night. I know a lot of folks dream they're taking a final for a class they didn't attend all semester or something. Mine usually consist of some CHASS class that I haven't attended all semester and need to pass in order to graduate. There's no specific exam, but I haven't done any of the assignments. Nothing really happens. I just kinda freak out for a little while until I wake up.

Last night I dreamt I was playing blackjack at a casino in Chicago. The chips were small hamburger buns. I was winning a lot of hands but my “chips” kept disappearing.

Apparently last night in my sleep I shouted out "Checks and Balances!!"

I don't know if I was a student or a teacher in this dream...but regardless, it must have been a pretty intense social studies class!

Probably once a month I dream that I am in the middle of a core class and then come to the realization that I have already graduated. For a minute, I wonder what am I doing taking a class over again for no reason and then I get the hell out of there and am relieved.

I feel like I have them on a pretty consistent basis...like several a month. And they're usually combined with nudity/sparsely clothed.

Pretty basic...test or paper where I haven't been to class in a while. And I'm sometimes in boxer briefs or covering my junk while walking to and from class. They are miserable dreams...but they do make me feel extremely relieved when I wake up.

Mine is always that it is the end of the semester and I found out that I had signed up for a class that I completely forgot about. I have this dream probably once every few months.

Weird how all of these dreams are somewhat similar.

I have two that occur pretty regularly.

I have one where my old high school calls and somehow I didn't take a class I needed to graduate and need to come back to finish it to "graduate" even though I have college degrees already, so I go back to high school and it's like some Never Been Kissed type of scnario where I try to fit in with the kids and everything.

Yup and the final is that day and I run to the final that I need to ace to pass. For me, for whatever reason, it's an NC State course, but it's always set at my old high school.

This is by far my most common one. It's not usually that there's something I'm imminently going to fail (though, like everybody else, I've had the exam/project/didn't show up all semester one); it's usually just bewilderment that somehow I have to go back to high school even though I'm in my 30s and have a master's degree.

If it signifies anything beyond "subconsciously remembered something from high school today," I'd guess it's either a manifestation of impostor syndrome or general anxiety about aging.
