Highly entertaining. 92% on RT. I definitely recommend.
And it is refreshing to see, for the most part, southern accents well done. 1/29/2018 1:49:23 PM |

Vehemently disagree!! I thought Daniel Craig's accent was AWEFUL! Channing Tatum's was also really forced. I thought the accents were the worst part of the move.
But... It was pretty entertaining.1/29/2018 4:17:20 PM |

I thought they were pretty atrocious but definitely worth a couple bucks at redbox. Entertaining flick.
There was one thing with the plan logistics though that just completely took me out of the whole thing where I just couldn't believe that anyone didn't just take a look at a map and say to themselves this makes zero sense.1/29/2018 4:24:57 PM |

Yea liked it mostly but it kinda fell apart at the end. I kept thinking it was based on something real which had me initially more ok with the loose ends. Once I realized it was pure fiction I was retroactively more disappointed
And yea ^I assume you mean the commute. Seems like they got stuck with needing musical element and mining subplot 1/29/2018 5:28:06 PM |

Daniel Craig's accent was the worse one, but I thought the other folks did ok.
Why not just get Reese Witherspoon, Matthew McConaughey, Anson Mount, and others that have a genuine southern accent? 1/29/2018 6:45:59 PM |

*Spoilers*
I kinda like how things tied up. I think the Hilary Swank thing was a bit too much, but showing how turning the money back wasn't altruism or guilt but part of the plan to lay low and to screw the insurance company as opposed to the race itself was pretty good and a callback to how the reason he was fired was for insurance liability.
But yeah, that we are supposed to assume that they drive from Boone County, WV to Charlotte and then back in the span of a couple hours while the pagent is going on drove me bonkers. It's like 4-5 hours one way and thats not considering raceweek traffic.

Yeah the driving back and forth was the only part that really bothered me.
Also, Daniel Craig in this movie totally looked like my grandad in the 70s. 1/30/2018 1:52:54 PM |
