The US is going to participate in military drills with Myanmar after accusing the country of 'ethnic cleansing'

"These abuses by some among the Burmese military, security forces, and local vigilantes have caused tremendous suffering," Tillerson said. "After a careful and thorough analysis of available facts, it is clear that the situation in northern Rakhine state constitutes ethnic cleansing against the Rohingya.""

God bless McCain and others calling for the exclusion. And damn those who are OK with it and will willingly take part in it without resisting.

It's hard to claim that the Rohingya are being blamed for the actions of a select few when you see what their fighting techniques involve, rolling out hundreds of civilian Rohingya along with a few armed plainclothes fighters to make their numbers look overwhelming and to camouflage the actual fighters.

When the government burns down entire villages, kills 10s of 1000s of people, and displaces over a half-million people, it's still considered ethnic cleansing, even if the other side started it.

The Rohingya have lived in the area for over a thousand years. Calling them invaders in this incredibly complicated situation is false and really speaks to your warped world view.

The Rohingya are not native to the area; they are invaders from Bangladesh. Regarding displaced people, the only way you get to a half-million displaced people is if you're counting Burmese people as a whole. Rohingya attacks at the Bangladesh border have displaced significantly more Rakhine than Rohingya.

So let me get this straight: That Rohingyas are not native to Burma and are instead an invading force from Bangladesh, and they're causing the mass migration into Bangladesh?
