We need to add an extra parking area to our driveway, anyone have any recommendations of a company?
The lot is sort of steep which is what makes it a little tough as a DIY, also not sure what pipes/wires might be run under the area we are looking to pave

I hired Freddie Solis to do two jobs at my old house. The first job was to excavate a hill to double the width of my driveway (opposite of your issue) and build a retaining wall. The second job was to move all the dirt to create new retaining walls around the front of the house and regrade my yard (once I realized that it would take me an eternity to move all the dirt myself).
They did an excellent, excellent job and I would hire them again in a heartbeat. I got his name after the original contractor I hired wouldn't do the job because it required moving dirt and he referred me to Freddie.

You can get a sense for the amount of dirt they were moving from the photo:

it was $5000 total, the original quote was 700 for the grading, 2500 for 500 sqft of 4in concrete, and 1800 for the wall. I believe I negotiated a little and got a larger area for the concrete, but I don't have a copy of the final quote. 2/17/2018 3:28:25 PM |
