the few times he matched up with Maye in the first half, he did as well (or better) than anybody else.

One of the biggest reasons Gottfried is no longer here is playing Mav Rowan's dumbass 35 minutes and Dorn coming off the bench.

Is he still the leading rebounder on the team?

Very solid game by Dorn, he was even knocking down some jumpers! Also, he finally seems to have eliminated the needless travels from behind the three point line.

Solid shot selection at the end of the game

Dorn is good. But he isn’t the guy you want with the ball at the end of the game. He’s displayed poor shot selection in this game and the Wake game in critical moments.

He's fine, but a 6'5 PF who suddenly loses the ability to shoot from outside in conference play kind of defeats the point of having a 6'5 PF

He was the hottest player for us on the floor tonight. Tonight, you did want him with the ball in his hand. It just didn't work out. Let's continue to shit on his appreciation thread though, as if a dozen posts in a year isn't enough to do that.

oh he played really well, don't get me wrong. i just don't know that giving him the ball and letting him go to work is his biggest strength. but i guess with no markell, he's our best option in that situation

I've been knocking Dorn lately and I didn't get a chance to watch tonight, but looks like he had an ideal Dorn game. I don't know how many long 2s he took but zero 3s is what I like to see! Beast on the boards and efficient scoring

yeah he ended up playing well. he did start off a little cold and had a few open mid range jumpers rim out. but he turned it around and had a really really good game. like you said, i've been beating him up lately too...but he played within himself last night and did exactly what you want him to do. and he did what makes him a good player, he didn't really force things.

Brutal way to end his career on that turnover, but he had a great game.

Agreed, nice to have a career high on the last home game but that turnover was a killer. Wish him luck in the future.

I had a very similar turnover late in a city league playoff game last fall, so I can definitely relate to TD.

Yeah I wish he’d have generally been more aggressive but by the same token, physically he could be more easily be shut down by ACC caliber defenders

He was often aggressive in most of his games but going up against much better defensive talent in the paint. Last night he just played out of his mind and the other team had no answer for him. Kinda the same thing that Matthews had last night. I was really hoping someone would break that kids leg or face. Mainly his face.
