Not sure if you'd be into it, but I'm about half-way through this. It's not so much "spooky" as it is is creepy and suspenseful. 2/16/2018 1:12:25 PM

The Imago Sequence and Other Stories
Short stories. True Detective guys said this was one of the books that helped inspire the mythos of season 1. Creepy as hell. 2/19/2018 10:34:33 PM

Ok so I'm working on House of Leaves currently, but it is going rather slowly because I can't really read it in bed which is when I do most of my reading.
So Ken Follett - not a spooky writer. Should I delve into his work? Looks pretty respectable. 3/17/2018 10:36:56 PM

Don't really know if this'd be what you're looking for, but I highly recommend Perdido Street Station by China MiƩville. It's not at all straight horror, but it's a good mix of sci-fi, horror, and fantasy. 3/30/2018 1:28:46 PM
