And we’ve largely avoided these games this year. Just hate it happened during a stretch where 1) we could have made it a lot easier to get the double bye 2) we had been playing so well and 3) late in the season. It was shitty game. I think with the couple technicals we probably let the refs get to us too much. Played sloppy and let a bad team hang around. And GT built confidence and momentum.

We had a really rough first half, with all those TO's we should have been up 20. Although had some Al plays in first and they killled us on the back door.

Also lammers roasted yurt late, not sure what we could do about that

Yeah no production outta the bench at all. L Freeman was non existent. Abu is bad. Batts has no offense. Hunt wasn’t on fire today. Need to get a little production outta one of them

Not a double tech. Dorn got called for a weak tech early. He must’ve said something to the ref after a foul call. And KK got one later after a questionable charge call on Al Freeman.

We don’t get the two technicals and we probably win this game. Not sure if we deserved either of them but we can’t lose our cool like that. Markell had his worst game in a long time, even before his arm got screwed up. Seems like he was scared to shoot tomight and forced passes.

First tech on dorn was classic tv teddy. Apparently he thought the players were getting a little too much of the spotlight.

Reportedly, dorn said “whoa” after the no call on his drive. Keatts also said after the game he didn’t know why he got called for a tech either.

Why in the fuck is this guy still allowed to ref acc games? It has nothing to do with bias. He is incompetent. He regularly makes the games about him. If a casual fan knows your name, you are a bad official. Period.

don't forget the refs also screwed us big time in the syracuse and virginia tech games. we survived cuse but all three of these games have involved opposing players disqualifying themselves and the refs allowing those players to continue to play. Also, they have all targetted our best player.

Yeah, we should've beaten them by 20. And we were on our way to doing that, but then the parade of whistles (seriously, I think starting with the Dorn T we got something like 4 in a minute or so?) totally changed our gameplan because, whaddya know, everyone's in foul trouble and now we can't be aggressive. Fuck off with this nonsense that the refs had nothing to do with it.

The only one I really disagree with was the charge on Dorn that led to the technical. The call on Abu was ticky-tack but I wouldn't have minded it except that Lammers did the exact same thing on Yurt's dunk the very previous possession, all body contact as the defensive player is straight up. We can debate whether the GT defender had legal guarding position on Freeman's charge but he lowered his shoulder and tried to power his way to the basket

refs weren't good, but i didn't really think they were egregiously bad.

We have filed complaints before... even this season. It doesn't do shit.

And no, I don't believe there is an anti-nc state conspiracy. I just think any ref that regularly makes himself standout in games is a terrible referee.

As long as those clowns (Jamie Luckie, Teddy Valentine, Karl Hess who doesnt do our games anymore and Roger Ayers) have a job, they are going to be incompetent and fuck up games.

I'd classify myself as an average ACC basketball fan. I know our players and the stars on the other good teams. I don't pay any attention to the referees unless they regularly fuck up. I groan everytime I see on twitter that one of those dudes are reffing our games.
