lmao. I love the jump from I would laugh if pool lost the title to City to I am a full blown blue. Yes I would much prefer the team that is like 15 titles behind us to win than the team that is 2 behind us. Plus the gift that is the scousers hopes and dreams being crushed again would be worth it, its like an annual occurrence just like state shit. Big city fan that makes me. Guess you are a city fan because you surely celebrated that Aguero goal right?

This United team still has more trophies than the best pool team in decades. That is kind of sad and hilarious.

What aguero goal?

And wait which team is the best team in decades? This year's team? So United has more trophies than a team that hasn't finished its season? Great accomplishment?

I guess I'm being daft? I didn't realize I was arguing about city, I thought I was arguing about you?

Also I even tried to look at aguero's game log and I still have no idea what goal you mean.

Edit: Oh I figured it out. The league winning goal from 5 years ago I guess? I don't give 2 shits about that goal it had zero effect Liverpool

What we have is a league leading 45 pts and zero losses.

I understand, if Liverpool were a mid table team, I would also want to spend time talking about past glories.

I haven't brought up history or past glories soo.... Literally the one tottenham fan did. As I said, enjoy the top. I dont resort to insulting rival fans on message boards like above. Pretty hilarious that you lot hate a team so much you will insult their fans too.

A league leading 45 goals and zero losses won't mean anything if you don't have the trophy in May 2019.

Only other united fan I even "know" is kiljadn and he's never bothered me. I don't give a shit about United. Tbh the only reason I care about beating them vs any other mid table team is so I can come here and see you talk about how angry you aren't and how you are actually laughing.

Its pretty easy not to be angry when you are in sixth and the top 4 has no bearing on your results. You would know that had you actually been a liverpool fan before 2014.

I am just hoping pool end this title race like the last two with bitter disappointment. Your cockiness would perhaps be pegged down a bit and of course it'd be hilarious.

^^I don't understand that first sentence. You're not mad bc you like being mid table?

And I would argue I'm very much not cocky. I've said over and over how terrified I am of City. My sports fandom has been full of crushed dreams, Liverpool included, I won't be cocky until the last tick of the clock.

Lets put it this way, the club doesn't care about the results or having a proper structure. The issue is beyond Mourinho. Yes he is also to blame and he will rightly get sacked by the end of the season but replacing him without addressing the real issue of United's back office mismanagement is just going to get us back here eventually after the new manager bump.

With that being said I have stopped letting United's results impact my mood this season. Its not worth it. Watching United currently is a chore that needs to be done. There is nothing positive about the team, the football, the manager or the back office so I am not going to let it impact my mood. I have barely celebrated the few last minute winners/draws we have had this year because I know there was no use. As an example, that newcastle comeback would have normally had me elated for a few days but it barely made a difference.

It was only the Spurs and United fans on here telling us Liverpool had to win a title after buying Alisson, and we all kept pointing out how good City is. But we're the cocky and arrogant ones now?

Nobody was shitting on United for not winning the title last year after spending that money We were shitting on them because they were almost 20 points away from a title, haven't shown any signs of progress and had no sign of a long term plan.

Hope Jose takes a long break and reevaluates why he became a football manager in the first place. Massive respect but he deserved to be sacked. On to the next cycle of failed manager post fergie because the club back office is still the bigger issue.

Would be brilliant to lure Poch but his lack of trophies is glaring despite the obvious quality. And yes ribs Man United’s job opening is still a more attractive position than spurs despite you being the better team as of late. Not even talking shit, I am sure managers would rather have the board spend 300 million than nothing to back their excellent form.

Yea i would want to manage united, I could spend 100 million on a player to warm the bench! What a luxury.

Very disappointed in the news, I was rooting for Wolves but a new manager might allow United to really lock down that 6th spot.

Mourinho still winning more trophies with Man United than Klopp, Pep, and Poch combined during that same period. Respect. Gotta love that Man United's "decline" still includes more trophies (yes subpar besides the FA cup) than any of these clubs (barring city) who would bite their right hand off to say they won something instead of just playing attacking footy.

Well TBF Mou brought that on himself with his brashness. Its great when you're winning obviously but not so much otherwise. I really hope he takes the $40 million or so he is sitting on with Chelsea and United and take a long break. He needs to go back to basics and perhaps even back to Portugal or Italy with a team like Porto or either Milan's but only after a year or two off.

I think we will see Mourinho back eventually and he will win again if he can adapt. He is too good not to.

Man gotta say Spurs are shitting the bed with the eminent opening at Madrid and United. Poch is easily the most coveted manager out there and I can't see Levy being able to convince him to stay unless Tottenham is willing to spend some money. Poch will have access to better players, higher paycheck, more prestige and even great academy prospects at Old Trafford and the Bernabeu. If the right offer comes in I can see Poch calling it over the summer.

Love the rumor of Ole and Phelan taking over though. Season's a wash, lets get someone who understands what it is to be Manchester United in for the rest of the year.

I like the reference to two. United were never in for him in 2013 lol. It was pretty well known that Mou was preferred over Poch in 2016 as well. We had been courting Mou since 2013 in fact so yes while Poch was considered in 16 he never had a chance to turn us down because we never truly made an offer. Can't wait for you to rebuke this though.

Lets also consider the latest developments at Spurs. He has voiced his dissatisfaction at the lack of support in the transfer window this past summer and with the stadium debt how is he going to implement his vision moving forward? Poch is no idiot and his stock has never been higher than right now with Bayern, United and Real all potentially looking for managers. Two of those teams are already better than the current Spurs team and the third is a much bigger club with way more resources and a brilliant academy. Poch is in a good position to either get Spurs to guarantee and literally buy into his vision or go to a traditionally bigger club with more resources.

Not saying he is leaving but he'd probably consider it and based on how Spurs end this season he may even do it with the right offer.

I was talking about Real Madrid. The team that actually has a chance of landing Poch at some point in the future.

I think it's fascinating that he turns down a team twice in a span where they won 4 out of 5 CL's with one of the greatest talents in the history of football, but somehow the dumpster fire project at United is what's going to turn his head

Don't talk to me about money either. If that was the case he would be in Madrid. I know it blows you money clubs' minds but not everybody is a paper chasing mercenary.

[Edited on December 18, 2018 at 3:01 PM. Reason : Who do you think Poch has more faith in, Levy or Woodward?]

haha. I still think its hilariously cute that Spurs fans without actually winning anything, not even a league cup, believe they are a bigger team than United. Poch doesn't owe Spurs anything because he isn't a spurs legend or a former spur.

Form is temporary mate, class is permanent and well Spurs have no history of being classy ever. Since you are so insightful you should also realize that United's "dumpster fire of a project" is not really a project. United doesn't have a strategy besides the one that the manager wants to implement. With a hopeful DOF appointment that changes. The last three managers failed at their own projects, not United's.

Also talking as if Spurs wouldn't spend the money if they could and you support Derby County. Coming to a bigger club like United to take advantage of its better resources and prestige doesn't make you a mercenary. Poch is going to leave in my opinion and likely it will be United or Madrid because Spurs are not going to be winning anything again this year besides maybe the FA cup.

[Edited on December 18, 2018 at 3:35 PM. Reason : who does he want to manage more, the most successful team in England or a team counting pennies?]

Right now, aka the only time that actually matters to Poch, Spurs are better on the pitch and in the boardroom. You're a shambles everywhere but the bank account. Money can't always buy class though. You would know, look at your transfers lately...

Yes I agree but you are glossing over very valid point as to why Poch may have his head turned because you believe he owes you loyalty and isn't a mercenary. Football is cyclical and unless you can match what Fergie did with Poch, Spurs will never have the appeal of United, Liverpool and Arsenal. Chelsea and City have managed to alleviate the romantic appeal with money, but Spurs have neither at the moment.

Quote :
"Laughable wazza, really."

Not surprising that you can't see that United' managers have had the power to call their shots, identify players and build off a very large bank account. This was the strategy under Sir Alex and it worked because Sir Alex was essentially a DOF and a manager. Every manager since has been supported by and large with the targets they want. So much so that we even made Sanchez the highest paid player on the back of Mou's demands. Which is part of the issue and the reason I have been screaming for a DOF for a year now.

Only this past transfer window was Mou blocked by Ed because he wanted to replace younger players like Martial with Dzeko and demanded money on a CB after spending 60-70 million on Bailly and Lindelof. Even then we made a push for Toby and McGuire. So who are you blaming then? Ed Woodward for dictating transfers that the managers wanted? In case you haven't realized already my issue isn't Ed Woodward, its the lack of cohesive strategy by giving managers too much power and throwing money at expensive players.

Again I am not saying Poch is leaving but I wouldn't be surprised if he did.

It's not really a defense of him, more of an attack on the your bullshit straw man argument technique

You ever stop and wonder why everyone in this thread pretty much gets along but we all have arguments with you?

Does your narcissism/united narcissm make you think "I make great points but everyone hates United so much that they argue with me anyway"?
