I'm watching this for the first time and HOLY SHIT is it uneven.
I missed a bunch of season 3 eps (R watches a bunch without me), and the first thing I came back to was Sorbo saying, "Mythology? It's all Greek to me."
There was a lot going on there. 8/2/2018 11:20:58 PM |

It’s all on Amazon Prime.
Like, it’ll have an AMAZING episode followed by two episodes of bland, pointless drama and Sorbo closeups 8/3/2018 10:32:32 AM |

I'll have to add it to my watchlist. I remember it being pretty hard on the camp, at least in S1 and 2. 8/6/2018 9:21:19 AM |

S1 and 2 were a bit campy but fun and with an overarching story. After that... ouch.
I still watched it because I was invested though 8/6/2018 12:44:29 PM |

3 seasons of ouch? That's...not a glowing recommendation. 8/6/2018 2:46:56 PM |

Well, it just got *very* campy and melodramatic and had more Sorbo closeups and I'm confused about all the Jesus imagery 8/6/2018 7:43:50 PM |

Why waste your time on this? If you want to watch great 20yo sci-fi television then you should be watching Babylon 5 or Farscape. The former because it was so far ahead of its time in terms of telling a coherent multi-year story arc that was plotted out from the beginning. It may seem like a quaint concept in 2018 that you need to see every episode of a television series in order but back then it was practically unheard of in an era of mediocre episodic sci-fi. The latter just wins purely on humor and lightness. 8/7/2018 10:28:47 PM |

Farscape is my shit, I own the series and rewatch every few years. Babylon 5 has always been on my Amazon watchlist, but I've never gotten to it.
I just remember being entertained by Andromeda back when I was younger. Probably because it was Sam Rami/Evil Dead adjacent because of Sorbo... 8/8/2018 7:48:55 AM |

How was it Farscapes fault? Stargate started getting shitty when Jackson got replaced with Jonas for a bit and then went to hell when O'Neill left 8/27/2018 8:39:24 AM |
