no negotiating is hilarious. i tried to sell a generator and they have terrible resale value, this was a heavy duty unit that had never been used, too. you would literally have to drive it to some coastal city in the 1-2 days before a hurricane to make some of your money back.

I ended up fixing one that was given to me a decade ago... Old Briggs needed a head gasket. New air filter and oil and she fired right up. It's not the inverter kind and it's real loud. I think I might as well keep it though...

And hurricane season is followed by ice/snow season which has been known to knock out power lines.
