Black markets are generally flexible. So I imagine you can buy drugs with pretty much anything.
That said, I don't know anyone who actually uses iTunes gift cards, so I don't think they'd be worth even 50% face value. Seems like a hard thing to fence.
Okay, just Googled it. I was wrong about everything. Evidently, iTunes gift cards are practically the primary currency of conpeople.

I wonder why iTunes instead of say Amazon or Walmart. Seems like it's easier to turn those into goods, so they're a better black market currency. Also I feel like you could cross the border with 1 amazon gift card with $20K on it, but maybe I'm wrong. 9/29/2018 8:53:42 PM |

Maybe they can get good deals on iTunes gift cards. I remember being able to get a $20 iTunes gift card for $15 one time. At BJs they sell $20 gift cards for $18 IIRC 9/30/2018 10:38:35 AM |

^^^It seems the iTunes gift cards are cool cause criminals can launder the money through in-app purchases in their own apps.
So this $400/month app for "mobile protection" is reported as a scam on consumers. But it's really just money laundering:

I dunno though. 9/30/2018 12:42:06 PM |

If the IRS calls up and threatens to sue you, hurry to the store and get a Visa Gift Card like the angry person is telling you to do 10/1/2018 11:07:26 AM |
