I had never looked into this case before. I don't agree with Tucker when he says "how could they fall for it"? Hindsight is great, but how are you supposed to know at the instant when someone is claiming to have been attacked? The instinct is to support the person, and so would I, unless there are big holes in their story, which I wouldn't know but Tucker thinks there were. Anyway, he does make some valid points in his diatribe about the attitude of Democrats at the time with regards to this.
