Can I earmark money to pay my own salary as a way to dodge taxes?

lol yeah me too. I keep in touch with a handful of current students who intern at my workplace and they said that the student body is PISSED that the school spent so much money on this campaign and at the end of the day they are still expecting students to fork over donations after already paying inflated tuition/books and being required to stay on campus freshman year. What a joke. Maybe the chancellor should donate something.

The outrage from students on this reminds me of the outrage students had about Talley student center.

Student feelings are not good indicators of strategic initiatives.

Also, students should realize that taxpayers and donors pay a majority of the bills for NCSU, tuition is not the bulk. In effect society is paying THEM to be there and hopefully one day give back for the opportunity we’ve provided them.

Not to mention most students are from middle class and upper middle class backgrounds, If they’re too poor to donate then just don’t give anything. But this shouldn’t be interpreted as a personal affront.

From what I have heard, the outrage is more directed at how the university would spend the money on unnecessary construction/renovations of perfectly good buildings. And for renting giant inflatable bouncy castles for campaigns such as this one.
