Oh man, I don't want to say too much. Everyone is OK though.

But one person just had too much to drink before/during/after the big event. Afterwards on bourbon street, I think that he must has sit or laid down on Bourbon St, and then the paramedics came and picked him up. He had to stay in the hospital for an unrelated thing.

Another person cut their foot on Bourbon St. in the crowd. There was just a wave of people out there that it was kind of out of control.

Another person must have been preyed upon as a tourist dressed in a suit. They were drugged, and stabbed.

Hell, my 4th out of 5th day there, we were walking back to the hotel with a group of people, and spotted about 3g worth of coke sitting on the ground in a plastic bag on the curb

I was drugged and robbed once in Germany. Drunk people, particularly tourist, get preyed upon by the locals. That"s why its good to stay in groups and make sure that people are aware of the risks. It really doesn't matter where you are, or what city that you're in.

But, having said that, it definitely sounds like it was a fun after party/wedding.

I was still living in Muenster at the time and going to Amsterdam, on my fucking bday, to visit an old flame. I went to the ATM broke and tipsy to get some cash about an hour before my train departed. These guys followed me all the way back from the ATM to the platform. One of them asked me for a light, because I was smokin at the time, and I went to light his cig. He leaned back, forcing me to instinctively lean towards him, and the other guy came up from behind and grabbed my wallet out of my jeans, gave me a little push and then they ran off.

Being drunk and alone puts yourself at risk. Doesn’t matter if you're a dude, chick, black white or latino.
