I don't envy him. I had a sleep test in November and they found nothing, which is good but also bad. good because I don't have his array of conditions but bad because we have no clue why I start yawning at 10AM, even though I sleep from 9PM to 7AM most nights (some times longer).

That said, people shouldn't be allowed to raise money for causes such as these. Save your money. end of story. Bad things happen and life can get expensive, that is why you save. I understand the destitute, but for them there are programs in place (medicaid and other social programs) that can help and also actual charities.

When middle class people do this is frustrates me because it just shows how unwilling people are to do for themselves and it starts to confirm the conservative talking points that I generally loathe and rebut.

^^ not to fluff him up or anything but TGD seems to give a lot of money to charity in the process of organizing charity drives, and seems to give a lot of his own money to kickoff these drives. Just based on twitter he would have had this cash if not for the donations he’s given

I have definitely seen some questionable medical GoFundMes before but you also have to recognize healthcare is fundamentally broken in our country and has been for a long Time.

^i agree it’s broken, but this isn’t news to anyone. Those with the means need to prepare for that, with independent savings or health care or both. What I’m saying isn’t specifically directed at TDG but his decisions reflect the larger problem.
