Alright, we gotta know where this shit originated. I really wanna know which direction the shit flows.

Like does Giuliani invent this shit and launders it through John Solomon, Barr, Pompeo, Trump or vice versa, or are all these hacks being fed from the FSB or what.

Perhaps Rudy’s goal is just to make our brains melt. It’s working..

But seriously the rightwing echo system is vast and well-organized and Democrats have ZERO idea how to deal with it. There is no equivalent anywhere to it.

I think someone has posted about it on here before but google the “hack gap.” It’s real and it’s a sort of Overton window for what news is covered.

I’m actually surprised the resident media critic, Earl, hasn’t spoken of it but then I remembered he likes RW narratives and Trump.

I speak about it all the time. You just don't like what I say. Without even talking about, its only an issue because capitalism and journalism cannot coexist. Rightwing policies generally make more money.

Hack gap is a direct result of the passion gap. Republicans have values and and an agenda they are passionate about. A show like Tucker Carlson is much easier to follow because they.

a. explain a point
b. tell why its wrong
c. then provide the alternative way things should be.

They are also at an advantage by wanting to preserve the past. The natural advantage is that their ideal is known and anything new or unfamiliar can be pointed out as bad which appeals to human nature. This makes it easy for them to manufacture outrage.

How would the democrats manufacture outrage? The party motto is "we're decent, unlike republicans". This puts them in an impossible position to compete against a party that runs off of tangible, visible items such as guns, security, and abortions.

Trump's media advantage was manufactured by democrats. Democrats need the hack gap in order to exist. Take Trump as an example. If your entire platform is "wE hAvE tO sToP tRuMp", you actually depend on Trump's campaign and media coverage to pose a threat.

So blame anyone who ever said "vote democrat so the republican can't win" for the hack gap since it inevitably puts them in the drivers seat.

it's pretty bonkers that democrats can't counter this narrative or control the discussion. trump admitted to a crime, he confirmed what the whistleblower said, hammer those points.

We’re like one news cycle away from Trump and his allies straight up calling Adam Schiff a”dirty Jew.” We already have “shifty” and “Soros picked” directly from a Trump (Junior).

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-10-02/trump-s-impeachment-saga-stems-from-a-political-hit-job-gone-bad

article traces a majority of these Ukraine/China/the Bidens conspiracy theories back to some Peter Schweizer book (sequel to CLINTON CASH more or less). Its the exact playbook on how they attempted to crater Hillary.

Of course, Schweizer and his "research team" are only able to put these books together because of the Mercer family who bankrolls their "institute" (as well as bankrolling Steve Bannon, Cambridge Analytica, Brexit, Breitbart, largest individual donors in the entire 2016 Election, etc).

And, of course, it got mainstreamed because the fucking New York Times paid for exclusive excerpts from the book (Clinton Cash). Complete and utter malpractice by them but it’s been a while since they’ve been good (unlike WaPo).

I'm waiting for a candidate to bring up Trump's tiny dick. Like bring it up in ads, and in debates, and to his face. He is very proud of his misogyny, and his sexual assault, and his failed business ventures.

But he gets hella defensive when you bring up his small hands, and small dick, and being white trash.

To liken it to vidja games, those are his blinking weak spots.

52% don't mean shit; it's his disapproval rating. That just basically means that the people that disapprove with Trump think that he fucked up by asking Ukraine to do him a favor.

Lmao apparently Trump talked to Xi on June 18th and asked him to look into Biden AND WARREN and said he would be quiet about the hong kong protests during trade talks with China. Turns out his press conference today about China was just him trying to get out ahead of this leak. If the Warren part is true then theres no more plausible deniability about him targetting political opponents.

They won’t. It’s a cult.

Trumps supporters have backed his lies every step of the way as he continued to cut limb after limb out from under them.

We have now reached the inevitable conclusion of “youre god damn right I did it but I was obligated by duty to do it.”

That may work on MAGAs like Earl, but doubt it works on swing voters and normal people.

Told that, Trebil said, “Then I believe Biden should be investigated. [Trump’s] the sitting president, and he’s looking out for the security of the country right now. If, in fact, he said that, I’m in complete support of that.”"

unimportant ambassadorships are sometimes given as rewards for support but ukraine isn't an unimportant position. the previous ambassador, for example, had a career in foreign service including as the deputy director of the russia desk in the state department and was a deputy chief of mission at the embassy in kiev. prior to being the ambassador to ukraine she was the ambassador to krygyztan and then armenia,

They will do the same thing with obstruction too. They will just say you can't obstruct a bogus investigation. emails acidwash benghazi out.

Democrats are that guy who never talks to girls or makes a move and thinks "All I have to do is show her how much of an asshole the other guy is" and then blames everyone else when she chooses another guy.

Who the hell are these hypothetical "swing voters" who are just now finding out Trump is corrupt or just now deciding its not ok? Everyone knew Trump was corrupt before 2015 but accepted that. Hell, they knew he was a misogynistic and racist too. You still don't get it.

Lol, Ron Johnson is basically the picture perfect example of why it IS good politics for the Dems to impeach. He was twisting himself into pretzels last night and this morning to defend Trump and then when the texts were released just admitted there was a potential quid pro quo for nakedly self-interested Trump reasons.

It’s insanity to think Trump and especially GOP senators want this.

Go on...

Trump represents an unmasked version of the same monster that has run this country as long as I know. The main difference between Trump and the other monsters is that they wore cute masks that hid their ugliness behind inspiring speeches. Trump doesn't give a fuck about optics.
