FYI, the lawsuit against AB has been open since April, so plenty has been going on behind the scenes before the last week

through 3+ quarters today:

2 first downs
38 yards
1.4 yards/play

I enjoyed that one

I was talking specifically about the one with the Titans fan and the Jags fan talking trash to each other. They had one with a Panthers fan and Buccs fan talking trash last week, which was also terrible.

Someone mentioned that he walked off on his own power. Could be a subtalar joint dislocation then, much like what Tony Finau had. He popped it back into place right there on the fairway and continued to play.

Lmao the ESPN article on the most recent Eli benching is trying to rewrite history.

Quote :
"This isn't the first time Manning has found himself on the bench. He benched himself back in the 2017 season when former coach Ben McAdoo and general manager Jerry Reese asked him to start a game in Oakland before giving way in the second half to Geno Smith"

Lmao he didn't bench himself. They were like "hey, you wanna start the first series to keep this streak going? You ain't playing any more after that tho, cuz you old and busted." And he was all like "nah fam", then he whined to the owners (or more likely had his dad do it.)

Media narratives gonna narrative.

From the outside, it always appeared to me McAdoo was fired because he benched Eli. Now we're into week 3 of the next season, Eli is benched, and it makes Eli look even more like the problem and McAdoo just a scapegoat.

Watched 3 minutes of Sportscenter this morning:

-38 different starting QBs thru Week 3 (39 if Cam Newton is out). Most ever.
-4 Super Bowl winning QBs that started Week 1 but won't in Week 3 (Roethlisberger, Brees, Eli, Foles). Most ever.

Yep, though I'm not sure how tricky that is to schedule. An alternative would be a Monday Night doubleheader every week.

Yeah after Joe Buck they did Aikman. I felt like the crowd noise was clearer/louder on the two alternate audio feeds, just wondering if you heard it on the main one.

They were all crystal clear to me though.

^They don't have a good Defense, their OLine is awful, Rookie/Career Backup QB's, TE that is always injured, No decent WR's, terrible Coach.

On Another note Mort is reporting that Burfict will be suspended the rest of the season for his dirty hit yesterday

Defense is extremely important in football more than any other sport probably. They can't play good D, they commit suicide.

yeah this is really odd imo. this seems like the kind of last minute workout they would have arranged a year or two ago just to get people off the NFL's back. but to do it now feels even more weird.

Quote :
"But the league’s messaging came out of the blue, according to another source with direct knowledge of the negotiations. Kaepernick’s team was contacted sometime Tuesday by NFL representatives explaining the request. Most free-agent workouts happen on Tuesday. According to the source, Kaepernick was told that the NFL needed a response “in two hours” if he was serious about the opportunity. Kapernick and his representatives scrambled to rearrange their schedules to fit in the request, but several around Kaepernick wondered why it came in such an urgent manner. For one, a Saturday tryout conflicts with the regular NFL scouting of college football games; for another, forcing high-end NFL personnel to get on flights to and from Atlanta hours before Sunday’s kickoffs seems likely to limit the number of attendees. “It didn’t make a whole lot of sense,” the source told me."

"@AdamSchefter

Several executives with teams have reached out as a courtesy to Colin Kaepernick’s representatives saying they couldn’t attend Saturday’s workout and were confused by the purpose of the NFL scheduling this workout.

After initially agreeing to provide the list of personnel executives and coaches that would attend Colin Kaepernick’s workout, the NFL has reversed course and said it will not, per sources.
