It's still during grand opening period. Next to Hibachi Sushi in the Avent Ferry Shopping Center. I visited today and tried the classic milk tea with boba. It's pretty good. Now we have Pearl, Hibachi and Bumble in a row! 9/5/2019 4:06:43 PM

I went to Pearl last week, it's changed a lot. No more smelly turtles in the floor, but they got rid of the soda fountain and were blasting Fox News 9/7/2019 8:25:12 PM

Pearl is still there after all these years. That surprises me. Chinese/Asian restaurants are hard to survive in this region. The one in my neighborhood shopping center changes three different owners in just a few years. The ones on Hillsborough street also born and die pretty frequently. Lately, the one I used to work for as part-time waiter closes its door after more than a decade. Pearl is solid. I guess b/c they offer generous coupon discount. 9/9/2019 10:28:14 AM

Pearl works because the food on the hand-written menu is actually good. 9/9/2019 12:11:41 PM

Pearl just had their entire storefront renovated. Looks good. Also officially changed their name to just "Pearl". Menu font/layout has also been completely redone. Menu items look the same, but as always, all the prices have increased (seems to happen 2-3 times a year). 9/9/2019 12:33:03 PM

glad to hear they renovated, because we went a few months ago and it was downright depressing in there
they looked like were on the verge of closing within a few days 9/9/2019 12:44:51 PM

Pearl doesn't sell traditional authentic Chinese food like Peking ducks or boiled fish, it's more like naturalized Americanized Chinese food or general Asian food. 9/9/2019 2:00:07 PM

How long did the bubble tea place on H-boro St. last? 3 months? It was across the intersection from Wachovia/Wells. 9/14/2019 12:17:04 AM

RIP Mura sushi
Quote : | "FROM GUARAV PATEL For nearly 15 years, @Mura sushi has been a foodie favorite. A date night spot. The place to catch up with friends. (And so much more.)
We'll be celebrating the end of this chapter on Sunday, September 22, 2019, and I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible there to enjoy more #MuraCelebrations and share your favorite memories with us.
I, personally, am looking forward to slowing down a bit to enjoy more time with my family and new pursuits as they come my way. But I will miss Mura as it was my 1st restaurant, who knows what the future may have in store for the Mura brand..." |
