This has to be done to be fair to Netflix.

Fleabag is just as great as the Emmys said it is.
Good Omens was super fun.
Looking forward to the final season of Man in the High Castle.
And of course Mrs. Maisel has a special place in my heart.

^Are we really considering The Expanse an Amazon Original?

They haven't even aired a single Amazon-funded episode yet.

Modern Love is sappy but wonderful storytelling. A lot like the Paris/New York I Love You films. Definitely brings the feels.

Whomever wrote the new Jack Ryan show only read a current Jack Ryan Jr. book and never any of the original Tom Clancy books. It fits okayish for Jack Ryan Jr. (other than Jim's acting), but is nothing like Jack Ryan.

I finished Jack Ryan Season 2 last night. It was so bad. Why was the senator involved? It makes no sense? And you can't kill a foreign president, but the 50 dudes you shot on the way in are cool? Whoever wrote this should be flogged.

in the latest jack ryan and jr. books theres a senator/businessman who's involved in shady stuff, i think that's why they involved the senator in the show?

the show plot takes elements from the plots of a few different books, so that's my guess

Speaking of the books, the next one, Code of Honor (Jack Ryan series), releases in a couple weeks. It's written by Marc Cameron who did Oath of Office (the recent one that took place in Iran) and Power and Empire (Chinese spies and the sex trafficking) which were okay -- not great but better than the Mike Maden books

I fell asleep watching the aeronauts. From what I remember, it wasn't very good.

Also they say based on a true story, but apparently the only thing true about it is the one dude's name. The lady wasn't even a real person smh.

I enjoyed the Aeronauts knowing the inaccuracies going in. The cinematography was really well done IMO. I suppose it helps that I am a meteorologist. The real balloon flight reached almost 39,000 feet. I can't even imagine.

Imma lazy. What's good and not cancelled?

Got back to Bosch after stopping a few years ago; like it better this time around. Currently on S3.

MitHC was boring, at first. Then got good. Too damn short of a series. I know, it's loosely based on a book, but c'mon man. There was more there.

I like Jack Ryan. Haven't read the book and don't care how it doesn't follow the book. I don't expect TV shows / movies to be the book. Ever. They're separate entities.

Heard The Boys was good so I'll try that next.

Upload just looks horrible, but I'll give it a try at some point.

ZeroZeroZero just seemed off to me. Maybe I'll try watching again. I was tired and had some cold ones with the boys before hand, so wasn't into watching really.

I actually didn't realize it hadn't been posted, but Catastrophe is excellent and hilarious. And it can't get canceled! Bc they already wrapped.....

First season of Homecoming was really good, they made a 2nd season but the first can live as a standalone story

The Expanse is good but a little cheesy sometimes

Forever was ok depending how you feel about Fred armisen

The Boys is good, but also sometimes a little cheesy

[Edited on May 26, 2020 at 7:19 PM. Reason : E]

Patriot is a great dark comedy/spy drama although it was canceled after 2 seasons. The journey is worth it though

I'm gonna watch the second season of homecoming shortly, but I wasn't overly impressed with the first season IIRC. Might have to watch it again.

The Boys is supposed to be kinda cheesy.

Ok, the boys is comical at times. If it comes back, I'll watch.

Upload... I guess it's not horrible, again funny at times. But cheesy as hell. The wife likes it. I'll be watching in the future then.

I must have skipped over Goliath. It is good.

I don't like it.

First of all, there are no mountains in Chatham county. Why can't these shows get little details like that right?

Second, I find the mother's actions and the antagonists actions both way overboard, but especially the mother's. Sure, she had some serious trauma with whatever happened to her son (I haven't seen those details yet, if they show up) but I just can't get behind her behavior. Waving a gun around in the street on their second day?

Also, an engineer living in Chatham County in the 50's? He's commuting to Raleigh? I wouldn't think there would be any engineering jobs in Durham at the time. Could be wrong though.

Tomorrow war - spoilers

It was ok. Time travel always has its issues in movies and just need to move past that but two things I didn’t get: first, why was he so concerned about saving his future daughter? The idea of time traveling back with the toxin to kill them early on would then make the future where she dies not even happen. So why would he be suggesting a plan to go back before the aliens, then come back to the future and save her? Makes no sense.

Also he returned to pre alien time with the working toxin to kill them off, but nobody seemed to care he had a solution which was basically the weapon from the future needed to kill them and win the war right away.

Nope, she would still die. It would just create a new timeline where they kill all the monsters.

Also Charlie is the fucking best. And i thoroughly enjoyed the volcano kid scene. Probably because of Charlie

The thing that bothered me the most about this movie was near the end when they are loading stuff on the plane, which is supposedly a C-130 and it's very clearly the size of like a small jet. The scale is just way of
