Much needed sweeps of BC and VT have helped. 19-13 on the year and 12-12 in a weak ACC.

Hovering in the 40s in RPI. Probably on the bubble at the moment. At App today and @Wake this weekend, need 3/4 to stay in the NCAA picture.

Yep. Wonder what the stat would be if you didn’t include baseball? Obviously for State it would be no titles since ‘89. But how many other P5 schools have a baseball conference title but none in MBB or CFB? I’m sure it would still be an embarrassing stat. Like, does baseball get looped into that stat just to make State’s title drought look even worse?

I'm a super casual baseball fan, but isn't one of the criticisms of Avent over the year that he over manages the shit out of games sometimes? I remember a few years back during our super regional run that he made some questionable base running and bunting decisions then too.

As I watched this game and Butler gets on base with Tatum up and no outs and everything is feeling like it's in our favor.... and Avent decides to bunt. Felt like the air went out of the stadium when he started lining up to bunt. That decision alone didn't lose the game, but damn is it a head scratcher. Looked like Tatum was pissed about it in the dugout too.
