Just don't see them allowing groups that large to gather in less than 6 months....

Coaches are limited on recruiting visits. Spring practice is canceled. Players will surely be out of shape when practice does start back and the NCAA has restrictions on practice time so it’ll be hard to make up for lost time.
Hell, many freshmen will probably have their enrollment delayed.
I have no idea what will happen but it is hard to see a scenario where everybody is cool playing football in the fall after missing practice time and losing so much time before the season starts. Even if everything is all safe and under control in the fall, will players be in shape and ready? 3/25/2020 8:02:06 PM |

If everything is safe and under control in the fall, there will definitely be football because money. 3/25/2020 8:09:58 PM |

We don't need to have a football season because we all know this is Mack Brown's year to bring a national championship to unc. 3/25/2020 9:46:59 PM |

yes, assuming practices can begin in july. ncaa would be wise to shorten / delay season. My vote is the first 2 weeks are canceled.

This is assuming seasons happen as scheduled...
NCAA: - All FR, even early enrollees, are going to really struggle to see the field. - Quality of play takes a huge hit as little to no offseason development takes place. - Teams with returning QBs have a GIGANTIC advantage, so look for Clemson and tOSU to have big years. - More injuries with less S&C and more players showing up out of shape than people anticipate. - For NC State - our offense is going to struggle, again, with no time to learn the new offense and no QB development. Will buy Doeren another year with built-in COVID excuse. - UNC and Mack Brown will come out and STRONGLY push for the NCAA to cancel the first 2 games of the season, as those are their 2 hardest games on the schedule.
NFL: - The NFL Draft is going to be weird. Teams will try to trade back or out of late rounds for picks next year. There will be more UDFA breakouts than ever before. - Panthers will suck, more on D than O. - NFL will play with no fans before they cancel games, too much TV money at stake.
If they cancel the NCAA season, it's going to be REALLY interesting to see what kids opt to take the redshirt year(they'll grant additional redshirt years for sure) and who decides to go pro. I could see teams tanking for Lawrence and him opting to stay in school. 3/26/2020 11:23:33 AM |
