I called mom and dad every evening after they ate supper. Then mom passed in 2004 so I've been calling dad with the same frequency. More these days to let him chat with his grandchildren. 5/18/2020 8:47:23 AM |

Usually one phone call on the weekend, with sporadic texting in between. During COVID times, usually add a second call on Wednesday. Almost always just talk to Mom, who is the more voluble one; if Dad does pick up, he passes it off pretty quick. Not big phone talkers, either of us.
I'm regretting this twice-a-week precedent, though, since now there's no actual happenings to talk about, Mom mostly just talks about what she's watching on TV. 5/18/2020 9:01:28 AM |
