Anyone on here an adult with braces? I am thinking of getting them at age 35. I have one of few insurances that pays for orthodontics after age 19

I may be ignorant on this but why would you not just go with Invisalign’s? I had braces as a kid and my grill is starting to jack itself up again in a few places. But my bro (who also had braces) is doing the Invisalign thing and it seems to be going well.

So i did the deed today. Went for consult, photos etc, and cancelation popped up while i was there for 3:30. Not as painful etc as i thought, but def feel like i am gonna knock a bracket in a day. Even with electric toothbrush i am worried. I got only uppers, said had to wait a bit to get lower side done.

Apparently these sometimes hurt? Other than inside of cheeks and lips, my teeth don’t hurt at all. Any of you with these as teen care to comment? I can feel like tension against teeth, but definitely doesn’t “hurt”. I just wish i could take them off for like an hour

First appointment is 25th, exactly 6 weeks. Not too annoying so far. Although some people said the teeth really hurt and mine are opposite. I wish they hurt more so that I felt it was doing something. Cleaning braces not too bad, got technique down pretty quick. I thought this would help with red wine consumption but I guess when you are an alcoholic you don’t give a fuck. Feel like my bands will be god awful compared to new. Kid from panamanian lady friend def called me out on having braces after about an hour
