Shitty way to head to the All Star break…splitting 4 games with the lowly pirates. But we start back against them after the break with a 3 game series. NL East has been pretty favorable so far this year.

Lindor still maintaining .33 average for the month of July. Easily his best month (so far).

Baez batting .260, .317 OBP, 6 HRs since the trade. Much better BA and OBP than his season averages. Wonder if we’ll try to resign him and what his going rate would be? He’s a heady player, strong in the field, has great power, but damn a sub .300 OBP is rough.

Both teams’ first halves have been mirror images it seems like.

Mets feasted on an easy schedule to open, got a huge lead and came back down to earth.

Braves struggled early, got a break in the schedule and took full advantage.

Should be a fun summer.

I even talked shit when the Mets broke the Braves record division title streak, so I know what it is to be the down team talking shit.

P.S. I'll talk shit when a Mets consecutive division title streak gets broken, but of course there has to actually be a title streak first, more on that when/if ever "lol"
