Can any of you smart sports talk folks explain why Anthony Davis is so hardcore on not being a center?

Seems to be gearing up to be a Nets/Lakers finals matchup. Which means it will probably not be either of those teams in the finals.

Don’t think Suns will go as far as last season. Wonder how muh dubs will do with a healthy Klay. Hope Mavericks improve. Hope Charlotte does well. Hope 76’ers and Boston do awful. Clippers gonna clip.

KD and AD are the same height

Davis attempted 218 3-pointers one season, in 62 games. How many more does he have to take for you to acknowledge that he can play power forward?

what the fuck is a power forward, if AD is a center, despite playing high post, taking 3s, taking his man off the dribble, etc

manute bol once attempted 91 3s in a season, which was in the top 50 for attempts that season. I guess that means he wasnt a center.

anthony davis doesn't like playing center, but he's a better center than he is a power forward. it's why when they won the title, he played center 60% of the time in the playoffs, compared to 40% during the regular season. he plays center when it matters because he is the best center in the game and him playing the 5 is more impactful than him playing the 4.

anthony davis is a center who doesn't like playing center so he doesn't as long as his coach will let him. but he's not nearly as good of a PF as he is a center. as a center, he's a legitimate top 5 player. he's probably not even the best PF on his team (lebron).

what exactly makes AD a center? he was like 6'1" going into his sophomore year of high school and it's pretty obvious by his play style that he grew up as a wing player. so why is he now a center, when like you said, he doesn't really want to play as a center? just based on height? in that case, why aren't KD, KG, Dirk etc centers who just don't want to play center?

AD is a big man. but he's too multidimensional of a player to just say "he's a center and that's all"

This game is statistically kinda nuts for 2021. Lakers scored 72 (of 125) pts in paint and only made 8 3s in an overtime game, again while scoring 125. And only 20 assists on 50 fgs
