for reducing residual noise at work

I have foamy ones - they make it better, but I'm wondering if there's anything that would do a better job

Earplugs plus ear muffs are a good combination if you don't mind looking more stupid than baseline.

yeah I guess I could do the over the head ones, but they're usually not very comfortable

Don't buy the cheapest possible ones at Harbor Freight. Active noise canceling is the next step.
